Whitstable Castle and Gardens are the only public park in this very attractive small town. The gardens themselves are unremarkable, except for the Wollemia nobilis specimen (a "living fossil") growing near the northeast corner of the castle. The castle itself is a Victorian mansion with...More

We just popped in here for a coffee whilst we were in the area. We had our coffee in the Orangery, which was beautiful, light and airy. We parked on the street, four hour parking, which was ample time for us to stroll to the...More

Good service and pleasant surroundings. The coffee and cake were good and a fair price. The history is interesting and the gardens worth seeing but fairly small. An enjoyable stop.

No it's free of charge. You can even get a volunteer to show you around the castle and here the history. Lovely views from top of the castle.
