I went here with my family and it was quite interesting ( at first ). Its located on a hill so the views are amazing. You can see over Burnley and get a great view of it. On a windy day the air will go through the pipes and make a whistling tune. The only sad part is, you cant... More

This sculpture, one of four commissioned by the local governments, is well worth a visit - rain or clear. The view of the surrounding countryside is great. The main attraction is the magical sounds of wind passing through the many pipes. NOTE: if you plan to record it, pay attention to wind sound, as it will drown out musical sounds... More

This imaginative structure is strangely haunting.A 10 minute walk from the car park along a pebble path it stands on the moor overlooking Burnley. The wind blowing through the hollow pipes produces an eerie melody.

It's not bad, but I wouldn't go out of your way to visit it either. The views from the top of Crown Point are very nice, especially on a clear day or on Bonfore night for watching the fireworks. The singing ringing tree seems a little bit of a blot on the landscape if I am honest and it looks... More

Visited early in the morning, parking nearby with a little hike to the tree, muddy in places. Lovely eerie sound as the wind whips about, sad to see the usual graffitti though. Some amazing views across the landscape

It's worth taking a walk up to the top of crown point to listen to the singing ringing tree on a windy day! It makes some pretty cool sounds but it's not exactly a must see location

the walk is only about 500m from car park and it was a lovely sight to see the scuplture and hear the wind noises kids loved it at most, half an hour time spent there

It was a nice windy day so we thought this would be making a beautiful noise. But sadly, it just droned with the odd off-beat warbling. Perhaps the wind wasn't blowing right?

Landmark which produces sound when the wind blows through it. Awesome views so bring your camera with you.

We returned to visit the singing ringing tree again this easter holidays.. the views are still lovely and the sound made by the wind through the pipes of the tree is still beautifully eerie as you approach, however, there was more graffiti and a lot more litter on and around the panopticon than last time we visited (2 years ago)......
