One of Lancashire's most historic halls set in the beautiful park of the same name. The history of the Hall itself is full of intrigue, with stories of plotting and religious turmoil. It dates back to Elizabethan times with changes and additions over the centuries, all helping make a visit to the Hall a fascinating and enjoyable experience. This grade 1 listed building is the jewel in Chorley's crown, with stunning plaster work and architectural features. As the town's museum and art gallery it is also home to items of local historical interest. William Shakespeare and Oliver Cromwell are some of the famous guests to stay at the hall.

We went on a sunny day, my friend Jill and I and Henry. The flowers were blooming, lots and lots of daffodils , and the Trees weere heavy with white blossom hanging in the breeze. The courtyard area was quite busy for a Friday and it was mild enough to sit out with cups of tea and enjoy the scene... More

This the coffee shop at Astley Hall. The cakes are excellent. You can sit inside or outside in the courtyard. Very pleasant location and the cakes are yummy. They do meals as well, but we haven't tried those.

This site is being added to and has much to offer a family. We used the cafe for the first time. It was busy but good food and helpful staff. The park has good play areas and you can walk through to Chorley.

A group of 50 went here on a perfectly warm day and it showed how really nice the house and grounds are for all age groups. The house is very interesting and the grounds are spectacular and to finish off the courtyard cafe was a lovely Suntrap for coffee. The museum had a great exhibit about the Somme and the... More

I visit regularly with friends, for a lovely walk round the park, and finish with coffee and cake or lunch. Lovely food, bit pricy but worth it. You can also sit outside in the courtyard with your dog, or energetic children. Wherever, lovely atmosphere lovely food.

Here is such a lovely place to visit. Especially on a nice summers day. There is a kids play ground and also ponds with ducks on for the kids to feed with bread. There is also a pets corner for the kids to visit. There is crazy golf bowls and tennis courts to hire. Overall a great day out.
