The price is high for the duration of the visit, it took around 1 hour to take in the walk, well, cave and shop. Beautiful location, with excellent views. Interesting history, it was a quite day so no waiting, in the Summer it could be overcrowded.

55th anniversary of my first trip to the well and a walk through the park, and then back up to the castle. A very historic story, with a lot to learn for those who dont know the story, which, with authenticated back up from reputable sources put the story into the realms of history as opposed to fable. VERY worth... More

Decided to pay a visit whilst on a day out in Knaresborough, as i hadn`t been for over 40 years was quite surprised by the £7 entry fee but that said had a nice walk up to the cave, there is a decent play area for the youngsters and if we had taken our grandson we may have got a little... More

Went with a 2yo and wouldn't recommend for smaller children as wouldn't appeal. Was interesting to see the formations and petrified objects but wasn't worth the money to see.

Visited when I was younger, this is well worth a visit, you won't see anything like it again. It is a delight to visit and the sights are fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would visit it again, it's magical for kids to see.

£22 for family of 4, plus £2 for parking. Pleasant walk along river valley and good childrens play area. There are no photos of the actual cave on the leaflet for good reason, it takes about 5 seconds to see all of it. They've tried to make it interesting with a voice recording of the info already on the marketing... More

Visited here with my partner on our way home from Harrogate. Cost £7 each (adult) and £2 for all day parking. Lovely walk lots to see, big park if you have children. Quite a few stairs and uneven ground so those who can't walk well wouldn't reccomend. You get to know the story as you walk round and nice little... More

Our 4 year old totally enchanted by the magic and story telling you can create. Bit of a nightmare navigating the steps with pushchair will take the carrier next time, the play area has been extended and is fantastic, will definitely visit again

Mother shipton is legendary in these parts and any visit to the area is not complete without a visit to her cave/grotto. There was a time when calcified rock was an amazing site but time has moved on and it no longer has that mystical attraction for most tho possibly still very impressive for children to see . It is... I have been visiting here from being a small child and I still find it relaxing and beautiful. Good family day out if you like beautiful natural surroundings and walking.
