Wonderful place to walk around, it has a prehistoric atmosphere in a good way. Took loads of photos, will go back in the Autumn when the leaves are in colour, I am sure it will be even more astonishing.

This place is wonderful. It has everything a lake, paths, rocks just waiting to be climbed and lots of secret places to explore. Great for kids as they can play on their own and be safe, and for adults who want an adventure.

Visited today with my wife and 2 and 4 year old boys. The boys absolutely loved finding new adventures and exploring all the woodland. They especially loved climbing around all the rocks and caves. Some people's reviews seem to view lack of facilities as an issue, I don't, it keeps it a natural environment and just bring a few snacks.... More

Unspoilt from tourism. Lots of places off the footpath to investigate. Great for kids to be entertained. Good for a gentle stroll.

We visited Plumpton on a Saturday afternoon. It is not a very big site and the entrance is a dirt road into a car park under the trees, again on the woodland floor. The walk around is lovely because it is so natural and unspoilt. Our girls loved walking between the rocks. It is tough for this site, what makes... More

After the park was closed for 18 months for renovation work we visited again to see what had changed, on first sight not very much although there is a new car park which is very good and the dam appears to have had quite a bit of work done on it and the lake has been cleaned and reconstructed in... I visited late afternoon with my 2 children, we all thoroughly enjoyed our walk round the lake.... We fed the ducks and my eldest boy enjoyed his adventure in the rocks. Will definitely return

Returned to Plumpton last week after the new opening, it's a nice place to explore with the kids and then have a good picnic, it's also good for sitting and sketching or painting.

After 12 years living in Harrogate, we finally made it to Plumpton after years of near misses on the opening times and dates. As other reviewers refer to, we almost missed it this time as well because it is so very difficult to find....the people in the neighbouring farms must be pretty fed up with lost cars! Anyway, found the... More
