Great for kids

Kids love this place. With the large variety of ducks swans geese etc so close at hand and the outdoor cafe right next to it, how could they go wrong. Snacks are basic but nice.

This is a really nice place for a hike, not too long and not too short. The walk is around a reservoir lake which used to be used to top up an abandoned canal nearby. There is no charge for admission but a small fee for parking. When we were there there was a small shop open at the start... More

A recent visit to the country park with my family (some of whom had come over from America) was most definitely welcomed. A recent loss of a family member meant the get together was not in ideal circumstance, but this visit was perfect. The café by the entrance area provided us with some nice ice cream and I had a... I regularly walk here, it's great in the summer (with places to sit and rest in the sun if you want to) and also good in the winter, the coffee shop makes great hot chocolate which is lovely when it's cold outside. It's dog friendly with plenty of bins, and also bike friendly, there is a short part of the... More

Brilliant in all seasons as each delivers a diversity of woodland and wildlife. Daventry has to be proud of this one as its maintained beautifully. A great walk there are long and short options you can get a map from the Rangers office but it is an obvious circuit route. I go here at least twice a week for after... More

Remember this being a lovely walk in the past. You now have to pay for parking.. Unfortunately there is only a very small part of the water visible on a fairly overgrown and disappointing walk. There was litter every where and lots of bags of dog mess scattered in the bushes and even left on the benches.

Cost of parking is £2 for all day. Nice walk of 2.5miles if you follow the lake path. Plenty of resting places with benches. Looks like it could get muddy in places after rain. Small cafe serving food, snacks and drinks. There are some shorter walks displayed on the Information Board at the Visitor Centre. Play area looked good but... More
