Had an excellent time exploring the museum. Took us longer than I thought so we got our money worth. That I was excited about. My girls enjoyed the history of the city and learning about Annie Oakley. Shame they didn't know about her but now they do.

I took a group of seniors there for a guided tour. Beautiful museum. Very knowledgable tour guides. I was very impressed, it was not just one person doing the tour, they have people who specialize in certain areas of the museum speaking about what they are passionate about. We had Montage Cafe cater lunch there and ate in the community... More

Wanted to see Museum & do genealogy research. Spent 4+ hrs. doing research. Employees were knowledgeable, interested & helpful. "Ran" thru some of Museum; too much to see in 15 minutes! Going back soon! So interesting!!

Of course, it helps to have a lot of local history - fortunately, Greenville has many important historical events and people to draw on. The logical starting points for Greenville history and the museum's collection are the Native Americans who first populated the area and their interactions with the early United States, culminating in the Treaty of Greenville. Another gallery... More

It is more that just a museum. It is a learning experience for everyone of all ages. It has a special program in the summer at the end of July called the Gathering. It is for everyone. Just to wonder around the grounds and seeing old reinactments and story time for children at the Indian Tribal house. Or a great... More

Arrangement of artifacts and history are well planned. There's plenty to see and learn about the history of this area. It takes more than one visit to soak in the treasures. The programs put on by the museum are also very informative.

Excellent exhibit on Annie Oakley and on Lowell Thomas. A ton of exhibits from Indian artifacts to the civil war to farm machinery to an old Main Street town. Lots of information and much bigger than you would expect allow enough time to go through it all.
