Well maintained gardens that are a sheer delight to walk through, the flowers are blooming, the aviary is an abundance of tweeting & Emily Davidson is always waiting for a photo opportunity, the acers are just stunning plus it’s always a lovely walk along the river side whether it’s to the stepping stones or just the market place depends on your levels of energy, there’s something for everyone including a lovely play area for the children.

Went for a meander on Sunday, the town was quiet & this was reflected in the park, felt like we had our own park of tranquility, lovely walk from the old leisure centre past the pavilion cafe & down past Waterford Lodge & in to the park opposite the castle.

The aviary was lovely to view watching the birds, the gardens are well laid out & impeccably maintained, love the Emily Davison statue, she sits tall & proud guarding the grounds, the park is a great asset to the town & something the community should be very proud of!

This is a beautiful park set on the river in Morpeth. Fantastic kids play area (all ages) and paddling pool. Beautiful walk along the river, from formal areas to woodland paths. Great for dogs. Row boats for hire. Great cafe in the Pavilion.

Beautiful park and peaceful. Morpeth often hold fairs and family fun days, which we attended on Sunday. Lively place.

This is a nice park. It's very clean and well-maintained, a nice peaceful, relaxing walk. We entered through the Wansbeck River entrance, which was also a great walk.

Beautiful, well kept park. The gardeners keep it in pristine condition at all times and is just wonderful to wander through at any point in the year. The aviary is lovely and full of gorgeous, colourful birds. Lots of different flowers and plants on display and the William Turner garden is a must-see as it is stunning. Within the park lies numerous trails, rivers and pathways that take you to Morpeth Castle and other local sights. It also has a restaurant called The Pavilion and a water park for children so fun for all ages! Not to mention the wonderful Emily Davison statue.

Carlisle park ideal for a fun family day out. The only frustration was trying to arrange a game of Bowls. We tried to find an on line way of booking but to no avail so we went to the leisure centre to be told it was no longer anything to do with them, the staff were very helpful and suggested we try the town hall. Another very pleasant and helpful member of staff phoned the county council and she gave us the bowling club organiser's contact number but alas he didnt answer when she phoned on our behalf. So no bowling today.

If anyone knows how to arrange a visitors game of bowls here please post

We were staying in nearby Cresswell and decided to take the children to Morpeth for the afternoon and visited this park. The kids had a great time and enjoyed the swings and slide etc. The walk along the river is lovely, too, as is the ice cream van just across the bridge in the car park!

Visited this park in July with grandkids. As it was before school holidays parking was not a problem but the paddle pool was still being finished so was a disappointment.

As it was before 10am the small play area was great but could have done with bin emptied.
There is the highest slide ever built into the hill which was a hit with the young kids.

Feeding the ducks was a favourite.
