    A great day out.
We had a great day here. So much to see and do. Our great niece loved it. She fed ponies, goats, meerkat etc and held a rabbit and a guinea pig. She loved the tyre slide, the safari jeep, the soft play the tractor ride with Andy and so much more. We were there for just over 4 hours but could have stayed longer. The animals were all in clean bedding with plenty food and water. The staff were all very friendly. This was our 3rd visit and we will be back again. We had lunch in the cafe and I see some not so good reviews but our lunch was fab and clean plates all round. What a great job you guys do. Thankyou.
Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit, we can't thank you enough for supporting us and returning to the farm. We hope to see you and your family again soon.

Fantastic staff and a fantastic visit.
I visited the farm with a group of 45 nursery children from St Paul's C.E Primary School on Tuesday. I t A young lady, called Skye, was our guide for the day. I would like to say she was absolutely brilliant with the children. Her enthusiasm, passion and energy really made the day memorable and the children love it. It's great to see someone so young engaging so well with little ones. Well done Skye, you're a star I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit. The children will love it.
Hi Peter, Thank you so much for leaving us a review, the support is massively appreciated. Our staff deserve all the credit in making Whitehouse Farm what it is. We are so glad to hear you and your group enjoyed your visit and we'll look forward to seeing you again soon. Thanks again!

Great place run by great keepers
The keepers were exceptional, the bird handler was amazing and supported every adult and child to have interactions with the birds. Also very knowledgeable in sharing fun facts. The two handlers in the barn were also amazing, entertaining the children with creepy crawlies, small animals and the goats. Great personalities and really caring with the animals. Our experience was great based on the keepers who were a credit to the farm. Our niece is 10 and enjoyed the animals (even with a bad back).
Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit with us. We totally agree, our staff are a real credit to the farm, we really couldn't do it without them. We'll be sure to pass on your kind comments to them. Thanks again for visiting.

    Great day out
Had a great time. Especially enjoyed watching and listening to the falconer. He was really informative and was brilliant with adults and children alike. Lots of different animals to look at and learn about. Loads for children to do. Lovely cafe and souvenir shop.
Hi Claire, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, it is hugely appreciated. We are so glad you had a great visit with the Whitehouse Farm Family, David (the Falconer) is new to the team and the positive feedback we have received already is amazing. Fantastic time, loads to do
My girls (3&7years) had an awesome time here. Feeding and being up close with the animals but there is also so much more to do here as well. The epic rubber ring slide, Bird displays, magic shows, singing with princesses and playgrounds. It’s an amazing day tout.

    Really good time
We had a really great time with a 5 month old and a 5 year old. There is a great mix of activities and all the animals you can see and mix with was really enjoyable. The lady taking the bird of prey shows was incredibly kind and I’d like to specially mention her, I can’t really fault the experience.
Hi, we are so pleased to hear you and your family enjoyed your visit with us. The lady doing the bird of prey was Cheryl, we'll be sure to pass on your lovely comments to her. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it. Hope to see you again soon.

A lovely day to spend with the grandkids - so much to do, we didn't have time for everything.
Wonderful place. So much for kids to do. Loved the big castle slide with tyres to sit on. Granny (me) and Grandad enjoyed it as much as the kids! Friendly helpful staff too.
Hi Pauline, pleased to hear you all had a great visit. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! Hope Granny and Grandad were pushing to the front of the slide, the kids shouldn't have all the fun.

Autism friendly and well organised Christmas event
We went for the Christmas experience. It is so well thought out and SEN and autism friendly. It's not the sort of thing we would usually be able to manage to do because our daughter struggles with busy noisy unpredictable environments but our daughter loves the farm so much that we thought we'd try it this year and booked the earliest slot we could in the hope it wouldn't be too packed. It is expensive but it was absolutely worth it for us. It is organised so you are kept busy doing things and not waiting in a queue at all for Santa, and all the families are spread out so it is a very quiet stress minimal environment. The little things like the way the visit to the toy shop to pick a gift is managed so it's not too many people in there at once makes a big difference for our family. The elves were absolutely lovely, very accomodating when our daughter needed a few minutes to calm down when she got overwhelmed and when she announced she needed the toilet right before she was about to see Santa, nothing was too much trouble and there were no questions or judgements which we sadly have to deal with all the time elsewhere but never at Whitehouse Farm. The 'real' talking reindeer was amazing! Santa in his log cabin with a real fire was lovely, not rushed at all he had a good chat with our daughter and knew things about her.. she's excited to put her magic reindeer food out on Christmas eve. She loved elf school with the slapstick comedy (I don't know the head elf's name but she always loves his shows they are pitched just right for her to understand the humour) and making her own cuddly toy, she loved handling the animals and getting her passport stamped everywhere. The only thing that was very stressful was lunch. We got to the cafe about 1pm because of the show times and trying to manage everything at the time it would be quietest, and it was really busy with a very long queue, it was a long wait to get a table and with all the events going on there was nowhere warm indoors to go and sit to eat pack lunch if you bought it, so the cafe was the only option. Although you can get a kids lunchbox quickly and skip the hot meal queue if you want to, you still have to queue even for sandwich for adults. It's not well organised and could be done better, but the staff were all friendly and doing their best. Go early or later for lunch if you can when it's not peak time. A seating area for bringing your own lunch somewhere warm and dry, and a better organised system for the cafe where you can grab cold food quickly if that's all you want would make it much better. Also our daughter was really excited about the new softplay, it was probably top of her list and it wasn't open yet so I wish I had known that beforehand so I wouldn't have told her it would be and then she wouldn't have been disappointed. But we look forward to seeing it in the spring and all in all she had a great time and made some wonderful memories.

Amazing farm, with lots of animals to interact with. My son loved feeding and cuddling the lambs. There's a petting barn, where you can hold and groom some smaller animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, mice)

Lots of activities to keep the kids entertained too, trampolines, castle catapult slide, go karts, tractor ride and playgrounds. Also there's an event barn which has activities running on throughout the day, Magic shows, character meet and greets with singing and dancing.

A great day out !

We had such a nice day, it’s so relaxed. From the moment your arrive the staff are so friendly and speak to your little ones. That’s all the staff from the cleaners to the keepers. So friendly. The place is spotless, it’s lovely to be able to feed the animals still and have dim many chances to feed and handle them. There isn’t big gaps between the shows and feeds either which is great when little ones are getting impatient. Massive shout out to Dave who does the bird handling and talks. He made the day for us. Really funny, knowledgable and so so patient gave my 4yr old the confidence to hold the birds and was so encouraging and positive with her. She came away with a massive grin. What a credit of a staff member & a wonderful experience with some beautiful birds. Already getting asked if we can go back! Thank you!

Came on 9th April when it was absolutely chucking it down with rain. We made our way to the barns where we witnessed 3 lambs being born. We stayed in the barn for a while as the animals were mostly inside due to the poor weather. Gorgeous well looked after animals. We queued from 10:55 to feed the lambs due to there being so many people in the barn, we were first in the line and about 5 minutes before the lambs were due to be fed two families walked straight to the front in front of us. One of the families was a huge family of around 8 people. My daughter was so cross after waiting so patiently for so long. This wasn’t the staffs fault due to them being busy, they didn’t notice but my daughter (autistic) it really upset her and she is still talking about the rude people who pushed in front of us almost a week on. My daughter fed a lamb a bit of a bottle then had a cuddle with another lamb. We then headed to the barn which housed the rabbits etc. my daughter loved the skinny pigs. We then sat down and she waited patiently to hold a rabbit and a guinea pig which she loved. We tried to see the birds of prey but the rain was coming down fast. We decided to call it a day as we were soaked but we can’t wait to come back again when the weather is a bit better.

Hi Nicole, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review! Sorry to hear about your experience at bottle feeding, I am one of the staff members who does bottle feeding and we do try our absolute best to create a safe and fair queueing system. If you had mentioned it to us before starting, I'd of made sure your daughter was at the front, but I do understand it can be awkward, especially if the other group is larger. Great to hear you all enjoyed your day despite that, hopefully we can make it up to your daughter in the future!

Over priced for what it is now.
We came and done the whole thing in an hour, this used to be so much better, most animals you couldn't get too, and their was no control over people pushing and shoving while petting was on going. I know the staff can't help other people's manners but maybes close the barn off once it's full!.

As for the price your better off going to east links, Northumberland zoo or Edinburgh for the cost!

Thanks so much for visiting us and taking the time to leave us a review. We are so surprised to hear you think our site used to be so much better, we've actually progressed and expanded more in the last 5 years than we have in the last 20 years. It is pretty impossible to get round our whole site and do all the activities in 1 hour. Our daily activities include: Bottle feeding, small animal handling, critter encounters, groom a goat, bird of prey shows, tractor rides and meerkat talks and feed. If you came during the school holidays we also had character meet and greets and magic shows on, which would take an hour to watch just them. All our play options include: 2 adventure playgrounds, go-carts, pedal tractors, a huge softplay, bouncy pillows, trampolines and a tobbogan slide. Doing everything listed above would take multiple hours, without even considering walking round all our other animal enclosures. We will admit, over Easter we were pretty busy. However this is our busiest time of year! We make sure to never go over capacity and all shows and timed activities are well managed and run multiple times a day so everyone can get a turn without it being too overcrowded. We also don't have any hidden extras once inside, things like our tractor rides, toboggan slide and animal encounters are all included in admission (unlike other places) so admission may seem high but includes absolutely everything for a fun-filled, jam-packed day. We are absolutely worth it! We hope this occasion hasn't put you off forever.

I recently visited White House Farm this week and Despite the weather conditions, we had a great experience. Although our visit was cut short to only a few hours due to the rain, we were able to enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to get up close and fuss over all the animals, and I look forward to returning on a nicer day to fully experience all that this location has to offer..

The only downside is that some staff members used inappropriate language in the presence of young children. This behaviour was unexpected and concerning, especially considering the family-friendly atmosphere of the establishment. I think it is important for all staff to maintain a professional demeanour and use appropriate language when around guests, particularly in family-oriented settings.

We spent most of our time in the top barn where we could interact with sheep, goats, and horses. We had the opportunity to watch the few lambs being born and even had the chance to feed & hold them. However, our experience was brief as we were only allowed to bottle-feed the lambs for less than a minute. We had to wait in the queue for approximately 15 minutes, but the short feeding time may have been a deliberate measure to manage the queue efficiently.

Holding the smallest animals, such as rabbits and Guinea pigs, was great & relaxing as we could sit down and spend time with them. We were excited to watch the birds of prey however, it had to be postponed due to weather. We would love to revisit to watch the birds of prey show in the future.

Hi, thank you so much for visiting us and taking the time to leave us such a lovely review! We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit with us. We are very keen to know which member of staff used inappropriate language, as we completely agree with you. If you could perhaps email us with a description/which department it was so we can be sure this does not happen again. Our lambs will only drink a certain amount of milk. We unfortunately don't have unlimited lambs and we do have to alternate them to ensure they aren't overfed. Sadly, this does mean when its busy we just can't physically let everyone have a super long turn. We try our absolute best to get through everyone, however we totally understand sometimes turns can be cut short. This is why we introduced lamb cuddling, it means everyone can still feed them, but then also have a cuddle and spend a bit more personal time interacting with the lambs. If you can, visit us on a week day outside of school holidays, or even a weekend outside of school holidays (But try the 3:30pm feed) it is a completely different experience! We do hope to see you again soon!

After a fabulous visit on Wednesday last week, myself and my 9 year old son think the farm is amazing! The weather didn’t stop us and we had the best time. All of the staff were so lovely and kind, especially the girl working in the reptile and small animal section, she had long dark hair in a plait, and also the man who deals with the birds was very informative. We will definitely be back, hopefully when the sun is shining!
Thanks for a great day!

I couldn't recommend whitehouse farm enough. We went yesterday with the two young adults we care for.
It was so inclusive and made our visit so much easier as carers.
They now have an amazing changing room with a full size bed and hoist 😃.
The tractor ride has a ramp and can fit 1 wheelchair, we were also abled to wheel up another wheelchair to be able to transfer onto the bench.
The cafe blended a curry so my young man who has his lunch through a g peg was able to enjoy his dinner just like us.
Every part of the farm was accessible for us and the staff went above and beyond to make our day amazing.
Well done White House farm what an amazing place and amazing team. We can’t wait to return. 😃
