Clumber is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres.Clumber Park was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. Although the house was demolished in 1938, there are glimpses of its grand past to explore - from the Gothic-style chapel, often referred to as a 'cathedral in miniature', you can follow in the footsteps of dukes through the peaceful pleasure ground to the Walled Kitchen Garden, where you can experience sights, scents and a taste of the past.Today Clumber offers freedom to discover a ducal park and provides a haven for wildlife within an idyllic setting. With 3,800 acres of picturesque parkland and gardens, peaceful woodlands and a magnificent lake to enjoy there is plenty of space to explore and relax with your family and friends. Not only is Clumber's mosaic of habitats home to an amazing array of wildlife, it is also a great place to spot it.And there's much more to explore.

I went to Clumber park early in the year as part of a school group. I really enjoyed it depsite the weather. there was lots of things to do, we went cycling, and we also paid for orienteering. Once this was over we got extra time to play in the 'woodlands park'. We all brought lunch boxes as directed too,... More

We used to visit clumber once or twice a month at the very least and enjoy long walks and bbqs with friends and family. However since they have made changes to the prices, we can no longer afford to visit as often as we would have liked which we find very disappointing. In fact, we haven't been once since the... If your lucky enough to go when it's not busy it's so peaceful .theres loads of wildlife and watching the swans taking off and landing on the... More

Lovely walk with the collie around the grounds. Plenty of access for husband in his mobility scooter. Would loved to have seen the original hall in the grounds. Beautiful chapel and lots of wildfowl. Enjoyed scones, cream and jam washed down with a delicious hot chocolate, served by very helpful young staff.

We had a lovely early Spring walk and filling and warming bowl of soup; fairly priced. A cold wind, but protected in a very interesting walled garden with an excellently preserved and renovated greenhouse. A pleasant tea and cake - with a very polite and helpful waiter.

We visit Clumber Park a lot and love to just walk round the lake. These days we try to visit during the week and during school times as it's much quieter then. The café is good but we usually just have coffee and bring our own picnic. We have, in the past, had family picnics and bike rides and thoroughly... More

If Clumber Park intend to keep the new system for payment by non members a new entrance need to be made reserved for members only. Did they not even monitor how many non members would be coming in at peak times.

I have loved Clumber Park since we moved here nearly 30 years ago. My children and two much loved dogs romped here many times. Lots of places to walk and ride. Lovely scenery. A cafe, toilets and shops add to a visit. Unfortunately, it became increasingly difficult to let dogs run free, due to introduction of sheep and cattle in... More

Hi, Thank you for your continued support of Clumber Park over the last 30 years, it's hugely appreciated by all here and at the National Trust. Sheep and cattle grazing on our heathland is crucial to the general health of our open spaces and habitats. While we understand that this may mean you are unable to allow your dog to... More

There's loads to do here, whether it's running, walking, bike riding or dog walking. He cafes have a good selection of food, snacks and drinks. There's even a drop of ale! Do a circuit of the lake like we did.
