Hi we arrived around 10.15am and had a lovely walk along the canal side and decided we would have a coffee and some cake while our dog, Sasha, enjoyed a rest watching the ducks and barges go by. Around 11am I went into the cafe...More
The actual Wharf is nice, lovely little cafe and good shop, nice seating ourside , where kids can feed the ducks. However the hour long boat cruise is not worth it, seating is very uncomfortable, and it travels along a not spectaculary interesting stretch of...More
Brilliant experience from start to finish. All staff were brilliant and friendly.
Very clean throughout and shown around the narrowboat and made to feel safe and welcome.
We were looked after even though we turned up a day early.
Already planning our next holiday.
Not complete novices having done the highland loaches and the Lancaster Canal. Hubby, 9 year old, my mother in Law and myself set out on Planet. The boat yard had everything needed (map book, shop for necessities plus a cafe for a quick brew) planet...More
Hired a dayboat, arrived and was greeted by cheerful and friendly staff, boat handover was thorough. Good explanations of rules & regs, controls and general information about the route. Choice of routes, North or south, we took south. Absolutely fabulous experience. Would definitely recommend this....More
We have just come back from a lovely week away on the boat princess although the boat was a little more dated than ones we’ve had before it did its job and we had a great time. We managed to get all the way along...More
The public trips are often very busy. Ours had 40+ people on board and it is very cramped and hot in this weather, as the mid section only has small opening windows. The girl opposite us became claustrophobic after about 20 mins. Also, if you...More

Hello Debbie L, It depends if you want to hire a boat for a day or for a week or take a cruise on our 42-seater passenger trip boat. Both the day boats and the trip boat operate in this area along the Shropshire Union Canal. If you take a hire boat for a week it is totally up to you. The start and end point is here at Norbury Junction but you could do Chester and return, Llangollen and return (peak season you would need two weeks), the Four Counties Ring, Stourport and return - the list is endless.... If you would like some more information please feel free to call our office on 01785 284292 and one of the booking staff can talk through your ideas. Best regards, David Ray
