A huge climb to something like 1700 feet above Porlock, with views across to Wales and Dartmnoor to savour at the top. Well worth the climb.

I've climbed up to Dunkery Beacon times without number, since being dragged up there protesting as an eight year old. It is well worth any effort involved. Truly beautiful and highly to be recommended.

We walked from Porlock via the Moors, along the pebbled beach to the Weir where we had oysters and ginger beer - delicious a treat. By the way you can order oysters to be delivered to the Porlock Spar for £1 an oyster. We then...More

Came up here in sunshine, steady walk up the hill on well defined path. Great views at the top all round. Worth a visit, but best on a clear day.

Great walk to Dunkery Beacon and glad we had a clear day as we could see for miles even over to Wales. With an added bonus of picking bilberries that grow wild there.

It was pouring with rain and the wind was vicious as we made our way up to Dunkery beacon. The walk up is easy even in the poor weather. There was cloud all around us and we had visibility for only about 5m which added...More

Lovely and varied walking. Wildlife great. Plenty of butterflies. Quiet & not busy. Walked from Horner up hill to Webbers Post back via Horner water. Moderately challenging but worth it.
