i have been here a few times and although expensive have returned as I enjoyed the food and the children's farm . This time there was a group of us . when booking we were told we had to pay £5 deposit for each person - so alot of money for the organiser to pay and fiddly to sort out final bills. Then we had to preorder, if not we were told they couldnt take the booking. This made sense for a large booking. On arrival we told them we had booked the farm first and the lunch. One waitress was pretty assertive- at first not able to find booking, then not knowing about the deposit, then instead of telling us what we could do she we told us everything we couldnt. We went around the lovely farm and playground. Then back at booked time. Tearoom as usual was pretty. The waitress then said ‘i will bring menus’ we said we had prebooked meals, she said she had no record of it, and asked to see email i had sent. she peered over my shoulder as i tried to find it- which eventually i did, she then asked to see the response from them to me - unnecessary pressure. Some of the meals we couldnt have as they had run out. The bread was dry. only 1 fish gougon in each sandwich , panini bread dried up both for just under £10 each etcetc We werent offered puddings so didnt bother asking. we werent asked if food was ok or if we needed more drinks. As we paid, the waitress’s attitude came back into play, ruining the whole experience. The attitude, making us feel like we were a problem was saddening- the quality of the food has reduced. No apologies , if she had i wouldnt have written this review and just accepted. At a time money is short and we chose to come here because of previous good experiences as couples and we were let down. Sadly we wont be coming back. It is a shame as it was a favourite of ours.

We take our 2 year old here and he really enjoys himself. It's a lovely little farm and you can get food to feed the animals. It's a really decent price getting in and the tea room is lovely. All the employees are very friendly

Very impressed with this farm, we took our 3 year old grandson, it was very clean and the animals were well looked after and the staff took care with the children when they were shown to them.It is not a big farm but suitable for the younger chidren say under 6. There is also an activity area for varied ages, a sandpit also which our grandson enjoyed. It is very reasonably priced. The tea room is good with a varied choice of meals, I saw people coming in just to eat there. All the staff were friendly and I definitely recommend it. The directions were not that good needs a better sign to show the location. We will definitely return. It is mobility friendly just as long as you don't park in the overflow car park.

Lunch for 4 on Saturday 27 August 2022, we enjoyed the homemade tomato and lentil soup and torn bread. Loveliest flavour ever. Good menu and excellent service staff.

We did get lost here as there was so many road closures however parked up easily enough. We arrived early otherwise people were parking in the overspill. We had booked online but it wasn’t really necessary. Cafe is lovely and we each ordered a vegetarian burger which was fine. They also do iced coffees which was great. The farm itself is lovely and well spaced out. Good for young children! They have goats, pigs, chickens and chicks, guinea pigs, ponies, sheep, alpacas, ducks, donkeys and a lovely dog. We would return!

This place is a total gem. A beautiful little tearoom which does insanely good food, paired with a childrens farm which isn’t big but has plenty to look at and see and do. The farm is good, nice range of animals and some really hands on bits for the little ones. The mini tractor rides are good fun, and the play area and sandpit also great for kids of all ages. The food in the tea room was brilliant, the best club sandwich I’ve ever had- can’t wait to go back and take all of my family and friends too!

What a beautiful gem of a place, recommended by a friend & it did not disappoint.
Creatively thought out, insanely good entry price, airy barn with rabbits, guinea pigs & chicks to pet, more animals outside to feed & an excellent play area for all ages.
Cafe & food was delightful, staff are friendly & attentive. What more could you want, we were so happy with our visit & will definitely be returning.
Thank you Church farm for a very enjoyable visit 😍

Nice place to visit but a bit smaller than we thought, and a bit pricey for what it was we thought.
Good play area for younger ones.
However, there are notices up everywhere saying you cannot eat your own food, you can only eat food you buy there. We didn't realise this as there was nothing on the website to say so, although I guess it is a tearooms with farm attached, which I didn't realise either...I thought it was more farm than tearoom. We had taken a picnic as we always do as money is tight for us at the moment with two young children. However weekly budget has been smashed into smithereens as we had to buy their food and leave our picnic in the car as we felt we'd have been pulled up for consuming it as it would have been noticed...it really IS a small place. Time to tighten our belts for the next few days, but having said that the food was really nice, but an unexpected and unwelcome expense for us personally adn we felt this could have been made clearer on their website
