Sep. 2018 • Solo
Friendly helpful and willing to do a deal. Lots of interesting items on display. A great many items in a very small area plenty of choice from trains boats and planes as well as all the usual essential model glues paints and useful accessories. Hornby Dapol Triang Oxford makes all available.

Varied selection of models
Feb. 2018 • Couples
Visited this small shop and was surprised at the wide selection of models they stock. A variety of models to make or pre-cast models etc. Good for all ages.

Stupid Little Signs Patronising Customers
Aug. 2017 • Solo
Petty little signs 'do not touch' taped to every conceivable surface, yet very little that is actually breakable. It's worse than the china shops when I was a boy in the 70s! Why not do what other shops do and put genuinely fragile stuff behind glass and stop intimidating your customers.

Excellent little shop
Feb. 2017 • Family
This was our first visit to this excellent little shop. We purchased new & used model railway accessories, found the man in the shop very friendly, helpful & he gave a discount on the items purchased plus a free magazine to my grandson. It is an attractive little shop packed to the brim of models & accessories, will definitely visit again.

I visited this model shop this week,I went for a look around with the intention of making a purchase of something but all round the shop are signs saying do not touch, if you making purchase you really do need to look at what you buying and i was being watched most of the time I was in there I could of asked for help perhaps but then once looked at item and they opened box for you, really feel pressured into buying the item even if it not quite what you are looking for, in the end I went out without making any purchase as also thought quite expensive compared with other places I have been.

Very helpful and interesting
Jan. 2017 • Couples
We went to buy some paints for a model. The Manager was very helpful with choosing the paints.
I then spotted some Acme Thunderer Whistles and I told him I had one as my Dad was on the Railways. We talked about them and I found conversation with this gentleman very informative. it was nice that he took the time to talk to me. Thank you.

I can highly recommend this model shop, especially for their brilliant selection of pre-owned items; excellent prices and shop owner was pleasant and extremely generous - will definitely be back!

Don't Touch.....!!!
Jan. 2016 • Solo
Called in the model shop today, stickers telling adults not to touch, are placed on every shelf through out the shop.
This is very intimidating, if I pick something up and I break it, no problem I will pay for it...!!
Avoid and shop online

If you wanted to look at something all you had to do was ask and would not have minded you picking it up. The amount of breakages we get are high and most won't pay.

The model shop Burton Upon Trent
Dec. 2015 • Solo
I have purchased many items from the shop, new and second hand and have found the owner Bob and his wife Liz to be the most helpful and polite people. My recent purchase was an RC Helicopter which they went out of their way to show me how it worked, this is a first class shop for model railway, cars and any hobby you have. If they don't have it in stock they will get it in for you. A great place to buy your hobby needs, Excellent
