Traditional Market

Great to find a proper traditional market to browse. Buzzing and vibrant with a huge range of goods on sale. Great to browse

Nothing special at all, was disappointed, just the usual stalls and not particularly good ones, phone stalls, household products etc, it is cheap but it's cheap stuff in general, many of the traders seem disinterested. Would rather go to Tamworth on a non Market day to be honest

It's nice to see a good little market and Tamworth has one. We weren't really in Tamworth to shop but it was nice to stroll by seeing what was being sold (some stalls have a very random mix of wares!)

We do like Tamworth and whenever we can we go for a shopping trip. Love the buzzing town, the market and the nice restaurants over there. There is all sorts but we prefer Italian food by the church in an alley road with a quiet lovely little restaurant.

Wanted to get some light lunch since we were early for the train to London so happened to walked to the city center and passed by this street market. It's bustling on a Tuesday morning. Near Tamworth castle and park. Interesting for a first time Asian tourist.

Good variety and value (£3 dog bed!). Good to support small businesses and local traders. Would be nice to see some more food stalls.

I visited Tamworth in June 2015 for a cat show and during the interval I ventured into Tamworth for a look around the market and the Caste grounds. I visited on a lovely sunny day. For simply being a market it was nice.

Having moved away from Tamworth in the sixties my memories of market days come from that era when they were at their peak in the town. The stalls are very different these days and I'm not so sure they offer such good value for money as they once did. Having said that there are always bargains to be found and... More
