A tremendous amount of hard work has been put into the Museum in lottery bids etc for which the Charity must be applauded, and the fact the museum has been saved from being lost. However, it still suffers at the moment from inadequate opening hours...More

It seems that the volunteers on duty when I went were not aware to much of uttoxeters links to the canals.And so my questions could not be answered.

Called here while staying close by. Met by a lovely lady who gave us a brief history and a guide leaflet then left us to explore. Very interesting building with items to read and see . It would be difficult to climb the narrow steps...More

Popped into Uttoxeter just to break my journey and found this place by accident. The entry fee is quite reasonable (£2 for a senior in my case) and I enjoyed exploring the rooms. I am sure it would have been far more interesting to locals...More
