Living in Horley, we had heard about this place but only just visited. Brilliant afternoon out with our toddler. Nev who does the tour of the Shackleton was absolutely brilliant and brought the plane to life. Friendly volunteers, full of knowledge and enthusiasm. Lots of interesting things to see. And to top it off, the back field is a plane... More

Lived in Charlwood and the area for decades but this was my first visit to the Museum. Went with my son as part of a Scout visit. Really interesting museum, accompanied by a very informative guide and then left to roam. Some great exhibits and history, none more so than the Shackleton bomber and a show-stealing tour by former pilot.... More

Brilliantly presented aviation museum dedicated to Gatwick and many well known (and a few not so well known) aircraft of the post WW2 era. Took our two young grand children and they enjoyed themselves in the cockpit of the light aircraft just inside the well laid out hanger. Some aircraft are in the throws of being restored by the dedicated... More

This is a great little musem with a nice selection of 50s and 60s british jet aircraft. Its £5 entry which is very reasonable with free parking. There is a good collection of engines to see as well as other aviation artifacts. They have a F53 English Electric Lightning with a serviceable engine which they will be running periodically for... We've lived near charlwood for several years now. I've heard of the museum but never been until today. Wow, what a hidden gem this is! The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Entrance fee is £5 for adults and £2.50 for children and this is well worth the money. The history of Gatwick with lots of classic planes. Would I... More

A lovely little museum and a nice tranquil way to pass a few hours. So nice too being able to stroll over to the Gatwick Airport perimeter fence to watch the hustle and bustle of Gatwick from this little time machine.

Great place to visit. Not only for plane lovers but interesting for children as well. We visited in half term with different age children. All very friendly and children can access different part of plane with hands on. Loved it and will visit again.
