Our girls stayed here with their guide unit for this weekend camping in 1940s tents. When we picked them up on Sunday we went early. They had a fab time taking part in all sorts of things. Everybody is dressed 1940s style which adds to the atmosphere. There's lots of things to watch including dancing demonstrations, air raid & battle... More

My wifes uncles cycle shop was recently resited to the centre and we went to the opening. Great team of volunteers who put in a lot of their time to make this place an enjoyable visit. There are all sorts of displays of time gone by, there is a refreshment shop (not sure if open all the time, best check)... More

Took a friend (who is in to museums, National Trust etc) to the Rural Life Centre a few miles outside Farnham and we spent a great, totally relaxed afternoon exploring some of what this unusual centre has to offer. On a fine day this attraction should keep everyone happy - as there is something for every interest ... from working... More

Visited this place with my kids over Easter. Was very disappointed as overpriced and feeling very tired. Grandparents may find it a trip down memory lane but if you have young children then it may get rather tedious once you have been on the train (not included in entry price) Final word goes to my 9yr son who kept saying,... There is a huge amount to see, in static displays of farm equipment (the original core of the museum), in reconstructed fully-stocked old shops and craft workshops, and in relocated buildings e.g. a chapel, cricket pavilion, granary and schoolroom. Loads for school age children and well organised for interactive school visits. Narrow gauge steam rides on summer Sunday afternoons. Quite... More

We, three families, visited on Easter Sunday. There was an Easter Egg Hunt which the children liked. I really enjoyed the visit, and I think you have to keep in mind that this is a collection put together in the beginning by one single couple. The collection encompasses tractors, "iron horses", and much more things typical of rural life through... More

Visited for the afternoon, first time visitors. There was a steam toy exhibition on whilst we were there which was enjoyable with a good number of exhibitors. However a lot of the collection and exhibits has aged and there was a lot of dust and rusty objects. I understand with a place run by volunteers it's not always easy to... More

The Rural Life Centre provides an eclectic but fascinating collection of old buildings of different sizes and kinds in a lovely setting of grassland and trees. There is something for all ages and the appeal just as great if you recognise something from your own life which suddenly seems to have become history, as if you are seeing it for... More
