Free and easy to spend an hour or two looking around especially in the room containing local records - the fate of locals in WW1 for instance. Shame there is not more to show how the town and district has grown and changed in size and character. Just about rates four stars.

We attended a very civilised 18th Party on Saturday night at the lovely Garden Gallery, it is just perfect, the inside area was spacious and very well stocked with everything you may need but what makes this so special is the wonderful grounds/garden you can utilise, it is beautiful, it's like a little secret garden, I can't recommend this highly... Had a great day looking back through local history with interactive tasks to keep the kids amused. Fantastic place to entertain the kids especially as it was a rainy day but the excitement of the museum didn't let the rain dampen our spirits. We nick-named the museum "The House of Engelbrecht Excitement" after our SAFA friends. Would definitely recommend a... More

Farnham museum offers a great deal to those interested in local history and is visited by the children of all the local schools. They are always holding events of interest and are geared up to making it interesting for children.

I visited here on a day out in Farnham and was not disappointed. It's free and the volunteer staff are helpful and friendly. As somebody who visits local town museums regularly, it lacks a little focus, especially concerning the local history, but had an interesting exhibition about the First World War and its impact on the community. It had some... More

There are only a few rooms to explore and nothing of great interest in any of them. I don't feel I've learnt much about Farnham except it was once important for hops and had a part to play in the war.

having been to so many town museums around the country this is a let down. I didn't find the displays very interesting or absorbing myself so I couldn't really blame my 11 year old grandson for being less than motivated. It's a shame because the town has such an interesting history and deserves better. Just go to Malmesbury town museum,... More

It may be small but it's a lovely informative experience, the current WW1 exhibition is very interesting, the guiding is amazing, for a museum with limited funds it's wonderful, use the free library of information if you are interested in history, well done all!

It's really only about three rooms. I learnt that Farnham invented the two minute silence in 1916 to commemorate the men lost the previous year
