The only negative is the car parking charges, we paid £9.00 for just over three hours. They charge more for weekends and bank holidays. The walk around the lakes is beautiful, in parts it is stunning. It is very clean and the vast majority of...More
Well there is so much to see here in terms or water, nature, an old waterfall/cascade and the ruins that it really is a good couple of hours walking around the lake and its surroundings.

Beautiful area regardless of the time of year. Lots of places to sit down and take in the view with a cafe at the entrance and a food cabin halfway round. Kids loved scooting and cycling on the path and the totem pole.
