The only negative is the car parking charges, we paid £9.00 for just over three hours. They charge more for weekends and bank holidays. The walk around the lakes is beautiful, in parts it is stunning. It is very clean and the vast majority of...More

Well there is so much to see here in terms or water, nature, an old waterfall/cascade and the ruins that it really is a good couple of hours walking around the lake and its surroundings. Lots of places to take decent picture and a coffee...More

An absolutely beautiful place to visit for a walk. There are lots of areas and things to see and do around the lake. Perfect for an outing all year round! However it is always spoilt by the horrendous parking prices!!!

We had a lovely morning walk with the dogs. We had been here but quite a few years ago and never with pets. The walk round the lake was beautiful, even though the weather was a bit grey. We also stopped for a lovely sandwich...More

Always a pleasant walk - but watch out for the bicycles. The bikes are usually courteous, but sometimes go too fast and some seem to not like dogs. It's 3.5miles or about 9,000 steps around the main lake. It takes 1hour and 15mins with your...More

Well our first visit to Virginia Water Lake and we had great hope of a peaceful untroubled walk. On some of the lovely green trails there were clear signs stating that all dogs must be kept on leads and that cycling was not allowed. Peace...More

Beautiful area regardless of the time of year. Lots of places to sit down and take in the view with a cafe at the entrance and a food cabin halfway round. Kids loved scooting and cycling on the path and the totem pole.
