A local secluded beach. Peaceful with stunning views. A great place for families away from expensive rides and arcades. Ideal for picnics with the added luxury of having a pub within the rocks. A favourite place for all my family.

On a cold frosty day a great place to walk and blow away the cobwebs! Lots of steps down, but great views from the carpark.

Stunning view. Great place to relax. The kids loved exploring the rock pools. The stairs up and down really test your fitness, good there is a lift in the Grotto pub for those who need it.

Lovely golden sands, stunning array of sea birds and the Grotto cave bar is interesting. I'm a local, but have always preferred Shields beach, much more accessible and more nearby attractions. But if you want a peaceful stroll, Marsden's the beach for you.

Even though I'm from Shields and dislike the area and hate living here this is one of the few places that I love. I always cycle round here and it's a great atmosphere and an amazing looking place.

Yup Colmans is the best, there are several seafront pubs at Shields where you can sit at outside tables and your dog will be happy. Some beach restrictions of course.
