Great if you like plastic animals
Aug. 2021 • Family
What a con. After spending many happy visits to this farm with grandchildren pre lockdown. I visited today with my two youngest who were looking forward to meeting the animals. We walked in to be told that the “farm” was open but there were no animals . As it was lunchtime we had planned to have lunch at the farm so went in anyway.
So we sat in an empty farm yard. The children’s lunch boxes contained plastic animals and a plastic animal mask, and with a life size plastic cow in the cow shed the children learnt so much about farm life!!!!!
What a shame that Sandwell council have not maintained a much enjoyed facility. Will not be returning.

Cheap afternoon out for younger families
Oct. 2019
great afternoon out for all the familieseven on a grey day but leave the devices home and enjoy simple things. Meeting the animals feeding lambs seeing the beautiful calves with their big eyes. The maize maze took the teens into their childhood runjing round calling to find each other. Made funnier by the naughter goats who had escaped and were enjoying chomping. Just need a little more information on the animals as you walk around and information to understand the difference between the victorian farm and what happens now . A tea room would be lovely the litlle shop sells the eggs from the farm and snacks. Pleased to say NO big gift shop as you leave

Small but perfectly formed.

My Daughter, husband & I decided to visit the farm. We hadn't been for years. The history exhibit is very interesting. The animals are well looked after. Its small but enjoyable. At £2.75 per adult with free return visit. It's well worth the money. We didn't visit cafe. Maybe next time.

Don't bother, staff too busy moaning to each other, no idea how to run a business, dirty plates on counter, council staff with passes swinging seem to get better treatment. Sadwell!!!!

Lovely day out with small children
Sep. 2019 • Family
I’ve been coming to Sandwell farm since I was a small child so it’s lovely to now bring my nieces when I have them for the day. The farm is very quaint and they have a little tea room, however I’m sure this hasn’t changed in over 20 years!

I think if it’s somewhere you’ve been coming to for many years then it’s a lovely hour or two out. They have a nature park at the back and sometimes on the field there will be a fair on. They have also built a big children’s area up the road slightly, so good to tire the kids out! Then head down to the farm to feed the lambs, get a cake and let them run wild through the maze.

At 25 years old I still love coming to the farm as it brings back lots of memories from my childhood, I hope to one day bring my own children here!

Not impressed... Long wait for santa!!!
Dec. 2019 • Family
We were really excited to take our daughter to see santa for her first christmas so we booked our tickets in advance because she is a baby and won’t be able to wait for long. When we got there the farm was decorated beautifully. We went straight to santa and got in the queue for 4:00 which was our time slot, however, after waiting 30 minutes in a VERY long queue it had hardly moved. The man said it would be an hour’s wait but it would have gone into the next time slot. We left as there were families saving places and pushing in. We would have waited for about an hour and a half which isn’t acceptable when we booked a week in advance. Asked for a refund which was refused so thanks Sandwell Farm you ruined our first trip to see Santa as parents.

Okay for half a day out
Nov. 2019 • Family
Went with my 7 year old last month, not a lot to do, the restaurant was closed and the maze out the back isn't a maze, just a collection of bushes. Tried to charge me for my 4 month old baby. My child enjoyed it but after about 40 minutes there wasnt much to do so we left.

I hadn't been here since I was a kid so at least twenty odd years ago. As soon as I went in it brought back memories. It really is a lovely place to visit. Ideal for young children.

Good day out
Aug. 2019 • Family
This place was near the hotel we stayed at I found it online and fort the kids will enjoy it despite the rainy weather. Plus the price is very cheap at only £3.50 for adults and quite a decent size and a variety of animals. There were 3 activities on the day and time you could it such as Handle the chicks and milk the cows etc. There’s a nice size children’s maze at the end which was good to find our way out.

We visit Sandwell on a regular basis, but i do feel that over last 12months park is deteriorating.Play equipment is not being repaired or replaced, for instance no swings but frame still in place, no zip wire .There are no benches to sit whilst children play, only a couple of picnic benches.Still enjoy our visits there, but do feel concerned that park will eventually have no equipment worth the trip if bit by bit not being maintained
