This National Trust is quite far from me and i probably wouldn't have made the trip specifically to go here but i was in the area staying at a hotel nearby and took the opportunity to go because i had heard good things. I am very pleased I did, i adore the gardens. Lots of interesting little areas to explore.... More

A lovely place to visit with it's woodland walks and ruined romantic house. The gardens are well maintained and extensive, lovely flower borders and unusual trees. A small shop, good cafe and clean toilets. Expensive for a family if not a Nat.Trust Member. Wrap up well on a cold day and enjoy.

We enjoyed visiting this property and exploring the grounds. The car park can get very busy but this is mentioned on their website so we were prepared for this. The gardens are well kept and grounds are full of colour.

Lovely gardens, lots of trails for kids to do and things for them to play on. They change it all regularly so the kids don't get bored. Great for them to run around and let off steam. And such a beautiful place. They often have exhibitions on in the house which are very interesting. Coffee shop is lovely but very... More

Many NT places to visit in this area. Summer would be nice to visit as well as early winter. Not far from Wakehurst Place

My family & I returned to Nymans after a mediocre first visit. The grounds were beautiful & the woodland walks were especially nice. Even the tea rooms were better today. Lots of children who were well behaved & appeared to be having fun! It's a shame to see that some people grumble about children here. Some parents like to get... More

We decided to visit here as we were in the area and having one RHS membership we were able to get one free entry..our local gardens are Hyde Hall so we are obviously going to make a comparison. We did one of the shorter walks which we found quite hilly and not a lot to see to be honest. The... More

Nymans is an absolute treasure. The layout is most intriguing, felt like a child again, peeping through arches, climbing up to the dovecote, walking through hedges - all such fun . . The borders are full of unusual plants and very imaginative planting, and visiting in October is the perfect time .It was a wonderfully sunny day, blue skies, and... More

Let me get the parking out of the way first. It is limited but the parking attendants do a grand job. The grounds are large and even on an autumn day provide an opportunity to walk round and enjoy the scenery, trees and planets. The gardens are very well maintained and provide some great seasonal ideas for planting in your... More
