Traveling from Boca Tomatlan in a high speed panga is a thrill you don't want to miss. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Yelapa depending on the number of stops on the way. Once you get to Yelapa you have many choices on...More

We really like yelapa. If you would like to enjoy a few hours at the beach and disconet from the big city this is the right place. It is a really small town. We really enjoy to be there. Just one thing, the people that...More

High speed catamaran following the coast was a bonus. The staff made you so at home and made sure you had plenty to eat and drink. Walking the streets of Yelapa was like going back in time. The best surprise part was the staff presented...More

While it was filled with sales pitched from vendors in town and on the beach, it was enjoyable for the family. The waterfall was refreshing (cold water!), but beautiful. The snorkling was fun and the staff was friendly, helpful, and funny! Great show on the...More

The town of Yelapa is beautiful and most of the local people are very friendly. The ride to Yelapa, likely depending on the time of day and time of year, is quite a choppy ride and you may want to consider some anti-nausea meds prior...More

Our hotel recommended we leave by 730 for the tour that doesn't depart until 9 at the earliest. This is scam #1 to get you to the marina so you can by more drinks and trinkets. We ending up arriving at 845 and still had...More

One needs to make reservation. The boat is small and the crossing takes 45 minutes, depending on the weather.

Not worth the visit - the organisation is good and the crew fantastic but not clearly advertised- you can go snorkelling on the way to Yelapa which we decided not to do as it was apparently very cold once in the sea you then move...More

It's a small place, I would suggest pesos. Restaurants accept credit cards and ATM MACHINES at the airport give you the best USD to Peso exchange.
