Wrong season to visit the waterfall, they have not had rain in seven months. Best to go either during the rainy season starting in June, or visit well before the end of may. I bet it is amazing when the water is flowing

After a nice walk through the winding paths of the beach/jungle town of Yelapa--you will end at a nice size waterfall you can cool off in! They even have a little cafe you can buy snacks and drinks.

Just back from holidays in Puerto Vallarta, great holiday !! We had done the Hidden Beaches trip which took us to Yelapa, a Fab beach that we were told only accessible by boat. Arrived at the location and first thing we done was horse riding...More

The waterfall is not much per se, but the walk through the jungle and the nice town of Yelapa are definitely worth it. I have tried some Raicilla at the small restaurant there, better than tequila :)

The falls were nice along with the scenic views. Best time to go is during the rainy season but then you can't appreciate the beach as much. You will enjoy yourself regardless.

I would like to reinforce what others have posted about there being no water in the rivers at this time. Please do not book a tour expecting to see active water falls. We have been told this is the driest it has been in many...More

Visited the small "cascade" close to town. It was pretty dry with a cesspool of stagnant water. I wouldn't put my feet in it let alone swim. Not a far walk but not for anyone with mobility issues imo. A few vendors. If I paid...More

We were really not told that the waterfall was basically dried up before taking an excursion there. But, nice little village to explore. Locals selling their goods. Kayaking, water toys available. Nice view.

There are two. The one in town is higher & more picturesque, the one farther away isn't anywhere near as high but is equally spectacular in a different way and well worth the hour horseback ride or 90 minutes hike it takes... More
