Hassan's Walls Lookout should be on every visitor's to-do list when visiting Lithgow. I have always enjoyed seeing the look of awe on the faces of friends and family when they catch their first glimpse of the view. At approximately 1,100 metres above sea level,...More

Not far out of town this is an easy walk with great views from the top, I started at the shopping centre on the South side of Lithgow. You can extend it to take in more of the high ground if you're feeling energetic.

Far more impressive than the three Sisters, the view is a definate WOO factor and tucked away from the usual beaten track of the tourist trial. It is well worth making the effort to see.

Well, the downside is the dirty road going to the amazing place but once you reach the Hassan's Wall the only thing you can say is wow and wow. Views are incredible. Natural beauty. Just amazing.

Sure it is a bit of a small dirt road to get there but it is not bad and if you take it easy not a problem at all. The reward though is a stunning view well worth it. Well worth the hour and bring...More

About 3 kms out of Lithgow up a winding gravel road is Hassan's Wall, a lookout with an amazing view across the Hartley Valley and east towards the Blue Mountains. There is a metal walkway from the parking area for about 50 m to the...More

I was a little trepidatious going up the access road as my hire car isn't supposed to be driven on unsealed roads, however, the road is driveable with care. The views from the top are simply stunning and there are very good information boards about...More
