Don’t drive past! It won’t take long and is well worth the walk to the lookout to put the “Neck” into perspective. The penguins came out at late sunset year round but best viewed between September & February. Wear dark clothes, no camera flashes and...More

Black swans everywhere and at nighttime you can see the fairy penguins. This was the highlight to my trip to Bruny. There is a small lot to park so make sure you arrive early if you want to see the penguins. Also, make sure your...More

This place is beautiful and gives a great view of the Bruny Island on both sides. You have to climb few hundreds steps to get to top but its absolutely worth it. I visited this place twice. One in evening and in morning.

It was very busy on the top platform, but the view is great. It's very special to see how two islands are connected by a small thin strip of land. And water everywhere, I loved it.

It’s a short climb to get to the top, which offers a nice view over the neck and south Bruny. Can get quite busy in peak holiday periods.

It's a pity the signage doesn't say that the road along The Neck was only paved this season (and, apparently, raised a metre). Looking along the isthmus and knowing that people originally had to drive along the beach between north and south, and then until...More

Corny as roadside viewing locations can sometimes be, you won't regret stopping here. Climb all the way to the top if you can (243-ish steps) but if you can't make it all the way to the top, the views from the first landing are still...More

Absolutely picturesque. Seeing the water on both sides at high tide is breathtakingly beautiful. Mother Nature at one of her finest

The Neck is a magical place where waters from both sides are almost touching one another. From an elevated spot, it truly is a wonderful place to have your pictures taken. Here, it's apparent that humans are sharing the space with wildlife. Conservation authority is...More

It was so easy to drive by the small parking lot to where the stairs are located. One can see the neck as you drive on it, however, the view from the stairs is outstanding. Hopefully, they will have some type of viewing... More
