Worth the stop and the climb up the many steps to reach the viewing platform, a must do when you visit. Also take the walk to the beach breath taking walk. Not many car spots for parking, and has a pit toilet.

The Neck dividing North and South Bruny Island is stunning, especially if you take the climb up to the lookout but even from the road when traversing it by vehicle. If you have the time and can get a parking spot (not always easy) it is well worth stopping to climb to the top of the lookout. There are a... More

Lovely, rustic, unspoilt spot. Hoof it up the stairs and enjoy the 360 degree vista. If you're driving along the road past the area and see a parking spot GRAB IT! There's not many available, and we saw a campervan really struggle to get in.

This is a must see attraction for anyone coming to Bruny Island. Look for a sign and a small pullout and then walk the steps for fantastic views. We didn't encounter any penguins as they come out at dusk. However, we did see the happy feet prints in the sand.

The Neck viewing platform & stairs are a fantastic place to visit and take photos from, but be prepared to be a little frustrated with those wanting to do multiple group selfies & clog up the stairway. It is very much a must-see & must-do attraction that's free, however there are a lot of stairs. If you have dodgy knees,... More

A definite once you arrive on Bruny - we climbed the steps three times at different times of the day. Don't be put off at the height - the steps are easily climbed and once you reach the top the view makes it all worthwhile. As you walk the steps you will see lots of penguin burrows (but we didn't... If visiting Tasmania, be sure to take 1-2 days and visit Bruny Island. Your first stop off the ferry will be The Neck. It is a great start to see the wonders of Bruny Island. Climb the stairs and see the views!

Worth stopping and having a look at the breathtaking views. The stairs at Truganini lookout are easy to climb and at the top you get great views of the Neck. Down the bottom, a penguin colony lives and if you are lucky or come at sunset you may catch a glimpse of them in their natural habitat.
