We were all keen to go for a train ride to arrive with quite a few others on a Tuesday morning. Unfortunately there are NO trains running on Mondays and Tuesdays. The brochure doesn't tell you this. Good work by volunteers for keeping this train line and museum going unfortunate for us that we didn't know

The place is run by volunteers and the facility is well kept, and the prices are reasonable. You can look though some old trains that have been restored, and ride on the train at set times each day. The volunteers are great, and happy to talk with you about the trains and what they do. It is great for kids,... More

This group of volunteers have done amazing work. The amount of effort in maintaining running stock, restoration and general operationscooter is simply outstanding. The train ride in the old carriages is fun. Very interesting even for non train buffs.

This was unexpectedly very enjoyable. It was part of another tour, and not being railroad buffs my wife and I were surprised to have such a good time here. They have many beautifully restored trains with all work done by volunteers. The restorations are meticulous, and the trains look ready to roll. Some were cute, and some cars were used... More

We checked out the Don River Railway a few weeks ago when in Tazzie and it was a lot of fun! The rail trip along the river was beautiful, the royal carriages were magnificent and it was a terrific couple of hours. Highly recommend!

This is a delightful attraction run by a team of very knowledgable passionate volunteers. The kids loved the short ride on the steam train and the deversity of old carriages. Seeing bygone era transportation being restored on site by devoted volunteers is very inspiring.

Unfortunately we visited on a Tuesday - the train wasn't running but we coulld see the train and the small museum was open. We also met the guy in the shop who was very friendly and interesting to talk to. The trains run Wednesday to Sunday - and we'd definitey plan our timing bit better next time to make sure... More

My husband spent at least two hours wandering all over the displays and workshops and was in seventh heaven. Unfortunately the train itself was not running that day (some issue with a rail) but it would definitely be a lovely trip along the water.
