I've lived here a year and haven't left yet. I love it! Lots of live music in the area, every weekend. Only takes 15 minutes to get tot eh country/beach/town centre - and that's walking! Beautiful river/ocean walk along past The Bluff. Friendly people. Doesn't look much until you hang with a local. Go to Central Pub, Laneway Cafe, Sil... More

what better place to celebrate the new year than with long lost family in tasmania. great food great beer great people. then visit turners beach strawberry farm to have the best strawberry flavour ice cream you have ever tasted. i can also recommend a visit to stanley and you must climb the nut the view is fantastic

Devonport is the port city. There are some nice walks and interesting places to see. There are parks by the river with tables and chairs, to watch the small boats come and go. The coastal views offer some great photos. There's also the lighthouse, which is worth a visit, plus some interesting antiques shops, and other tourist attractions. There are... More
