This was an unforgettable day cruise. The flora and fauna was breath taking and the history of the areas we visited fascinating and unique to Tasmania. The staff onboard were very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Although the cruise was a little on the expensive side, it was well worth it.

Pristine nature at it's best with a fabulous tour of the Gordon River world heritage area. This tour encompasses the history of Strahan both indigenous and from convict times onwards. It links the people of the west coast and their value on the best that nature has to offer. Lunch was good and well managed and good quality.

We really enjoyed this cruise on a partly sunny day that ended with the most magnificent river reflections(glorious photo opportunities) .Although we saw very little wildlife, the crew gave a very informative commentary, the complimentary lunch was very nice, and the guided tour over the old convict settlement at Sarah Island was extremely interesting and well presented.

Highly recommended. the views, the staff, the food, the views were all first class. The presentation at the island was a bit over the top. The guide also appears in "The Ship That Never Was" and in that she is excellent.

Spent a great few hours on this activity. Granted the weather was fantastic - we went further out to sea than they usually do but without that it's still a great experience. The buffet on board was really good, the staff were friendly and efficient. The stops - Sarah Island - and the forest walk - were really good and... More

We booked early for the Captain's deck upstairs and we had a prime position. The seats are spacious and comfortable. The service and food are first class. The scenery was spectacular. It was also great to be able to stretch the legs with a short walk on a couple of occasions. The onboard and on land commentaries were great and... More

Wonderful day spent with friendly and professional staff. The cruise was informative and most enjoyable. The day was interspersed with plenty of education on the history of the west coast of Tasmania, with stop offs on land to break up the day. Cold cut lunch was plentiful and tasty. Please don't miss this if you have the opportunity.

I've done 3 Gordon River Cruises and each time I learn something new. It's very informative and the staff are there to help with your day. The food is well organised and served by section so no rushing or queues. The Salmon is always fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend this Cruises.
