So disappointing to drive a long way to find access denied to the homestead. It used to be a great place to visit . A sign at the beginning of the metal road could have warned people that the place is closed. With housing estates surrounding it now, I imagine it will soon be demolished. Shame.

A few years ago this was a great place for families.. Beautiful old bluestone buildings, great area for kids to play.. Lovely walks.. It is now closed..apparently left a lot of brides out of pocket when they had booked for their big day..

Visited midday and did a beach walk from the National Parks official parking. The crowds were having lunch under the trees and just a few walked along the beach. Not really suitable for swimming and lots of seaweeds swept onshore. But for walking or relaxing it is perfect. The homestead itself was abandoned and looked a bit sad. Large trees provides... More

I have taken a number of family members here and our children. What a wonderfully relaxed experience. Ability to eat outside at large wooden tables with umbrellas and soak up the atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Prices were reasonable and staff were only to willing to accommodate any requests.

We went there for lunch today only to find that it had closed earlier this month. Unfortunately people running it have gone into liquidation. Hopefully someone else will take it over as it has a fabulous outlook and was a great place to visit and experience some of victoria's history.

Was lucky enough to get an invite to a friendship circle Christmas party with the whole venue open to enjoy. Great atmosphere safe for the kids to run around with freedom. Adults took turns guarding the gate with the only one to get past the parents was Santa and a sack full of presents. Food and drinks were great. Host... More

Don't bother eating here! Definitely go for a walk and enjoy the scenery and historic buildings but don't venture in for a meal. The food was unimaginative at best, even the fries that accompanied the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, tomato thingy) were under cooked. My daughter had calamari which looked and tasted okay but approximately $18.00 for 5 pieces of calamari... More
