Very clean and beautiful area. I stopped to watch the sunset on the Solstice Steps. I arrived about an hour before sunset. I had to circle the parking lot several times trying to find a parking spot. Many people just parked in the grass and along the edges. Lots of people gathered to watch the sun set there.

Great time at Lakewood Park. Lots to do for kids of ALL ages!
Clean. Security.
You can play on the equipment, have a picnic in the enclosed pavilion that offers grills, or make purchases st the concession stand!
There is a long asphalt course for running or bicycling. There are basketball courts.
There is a trick bicycle court. There is a wonder swimming pool.
You can enjoy terrific sunsets on the solstice seats, a very rare opportunity!
Hope to see you there!

Drove over an hour to get there. Was really a fantastic spot. Wish it was closer to home for sure. Had a great paved walkway to bike or walk. Could see the Cleveland skyline and look out at Lake Erie! Had a pool and a good looking play area for kids but
we did not use either because we THOUGHT this park had a beach for the family from out of state to experience . It did not. Asked a "local" who was sitting enjoying the day and the park who told us it was a community park and there was no beach. If we wanted that to go to Bay Village down the road about 10 minutes or Edgewater Beach the other way toward Cleveland. Had already been to Huntington beach in Bay Village and liked it but opted for Edgewater because of a shorter ride home..... BUT really, really like this Lakewood Park. If you don't care not to have a beach........this is where to go!!!

Wonderful park in Lakewood, Ohio located at Lake Avenue and Belle Avenue, about 10 minutes west of Cleveland. Solstice Steps overlook Lake Erie and are a wonderful place to just sit and enjoy the sunshine and the Lake. Walking trails run through the park and along the Lake with lots of benches and bench swings along the paths. Park has a swimming pool, playground, skatepark and ball fields. Very family friendly. No admission fee to the park itself, but not sure about the swimming pool. The Park is well maintained. Good sized parking lot, but parking can be challenging on a nice day. Be patient as it's worth the wait. Will definitely revisit on my next trip to Lakewood.

Wonderful park! The evening we visited, it was windy and cloudy with chances of rain, but still enjoyable. The water on Lake Erie looked like ocean waves.
The park is great for evening/morning walks, taking in the views and relaxing. Nicely maintained pathways and accessible ramps. Lots of seating areas. Several impromptu yoga classes.
Parking is plentiful, if you arrive about 1 hour before sunset, or earlier. A lot of people show up for sunset views, so the earlier you get there in the summer months, the better.
Bring family and friends to enjoy a meal in the park with a great view of Lake Erie on one side and downtown Cleveland on the other.

Been here many times over the years. The park has gone through several transitions. The latest has a very nice series of steps that over look Lake Erie and also include paths down the the water's edge.
Nicely groomed and maintained. Clean with nice restrooms and a fair amount of parking.
Good place for family picnic

Beautiful Lakeside park in Lakewood, Ohio. Walking and running paths, outlook spots to see downtown and the coastline, public pool, playground, baseball field, volleyball court, skate park, pavilion!
This is an awesome park to visit, there’s lots to do and enjoy, they host events here and even have a theater stage. Dog walking stations with bags and trash bins as well. Benches and bench swings to enjoy. This park is only 10 min west of downtown Cleveland and in the trendy area of Lakewood which has a Mecca of bustling restaurants and bars to explore.
