This campground was very disappointing! We were in a wide open sunny field with our RV. It was a hike to get to the bath house which was disgusting and lines. The workers were always just sitting around smoking cigarettes. Porta potties were the other option which are just disgusting especially with a child. They had just mowed a day or two before we arrived and there was just long grass everywhere that we tracked and constantly no matter how hard we tried. The grass was all over our feet no matter what. I would rather camp in my driveway! We will never return.

Lots of open space which was super nice, staff was friendly and helpful, Great location. The only downside was the bathroom situation was a little rough, long lines since there are no bathrooms (besides very full porta potties) that are restrooms only, rather they are attached to a shower so the lines took a very long time and they were not super clean. Other than that it was good spot, especially if you have kids.

Map of campsites in the booking tool is not the same as the actual map of the campsites. Frustrating. Also, primitive tent camping is not within easy walking to a bathroom with a sink. Toilets & sinks are located IN the shower rooms which means you may wait a very long time to use a flush toilet if someone is taking a shower. Also, says quiet hours are enforced, but we listened to neighboring campsite talking/yelling until around 2am. I could get more peace and wildlife in my own backyard.

This was our first visit to Hocking Hills and this has also been our first summer with our new travel trailer. We enjoyed our stay, camped at the upper level camping area, and did the go karts, mini golf, splash pad, and bounce pad. We also went hiking during the day. The campground is very centrally located, easy to get to, and nice and spacious. On our way home, literally as we pulled out of our campsite, we noticed one of our tires was flat. We'd never dealt with this before so needless to say we were nervous and unsure of what to do next. While I was on the phone with Good Sam, my husband asked the office for help. Ashton let us use her air pump and stayed with us for about an hour, until we had our tire inflated enough to feel comfortable driving out of the campground. Our trip could have been overshadowed by a nightmarish drive home, but Ashton helped us get on the road confidently and safely. We're so grateful for the staff at Hocking Hills Adventures, for making us feel welcome and safe, and will definitely be returning!
