This was a moderately easy hike. The day we went was hot and humid but inside the rock house it was nice and cool and refreshing. The view from inside were beautiful and amazing how this was formed

This was a wonderful experience. The Rock House steps can be very slippery and we saw two people fall while we were there. You may need to use a flash light in the rock house to see so that you don't trip. This hike is...More

This is a very neat place to visit! I do not recommend taking children to this location because there is a very steep cliff with no railing and if you don’t pay close attention you could fall. Otherwise it is very cool! Hard to get...More

Best quick hike to most cave like place we visited- a true rock house. Can almost visualize explorers hiding out in there during a harsh winter. Steps coming down were slick and some adults struggling to climb them. Worth a stop.

I would consider this hike as moderate. There are steep steps and some tricky areas but so worth it. I personally felt like this one of the shorter hikes. We went later on a Saturday and had no issues with being crowded.

If you are hiking in Hocking Hills State Park you must hike to the Rock House. It is a rugged 1/2 mile hike that will take 30 - 45 minutes. The Rock House was used as a shelter for robbers, horse thieves and bootleggers. The...More

Fun to explore and read the history. Didn't know this could be found in southern Ohio. With all the rock steps I wouldn't want to do if it was wet conditions.

We needed a new place to hike for our third trip to Hocking Valley. I looked at reviews and pictures and we choose Rock house. We were not prepared for the hike! It clearly states it's a moderate hike but we thought we could handle...More

Hiked the Rock House over Labor day weekend so it was pretty busy. As hiking goes, I would not consider it an easy hike, probably moderate. Not for those with some physical issues. Lots of up and down hills and rocks. Proper shoes, preferably hiking...More

There is a parking lot that is pretty big. It's not too far of a hike. Maybe 1/2 mile. Check out their website and it shows you a map and says 1/2 mi and 1/2 hr to hike it. I tried to include the website here but it... More
