We went here as an impromptu visit. It was warm, but that didn't matter. The flowers were in full bloom and gorgeous, and well maintained. We toured the house, as well. Very nicely kept and the attendant was helpful.

If you enjoy gardening or just flowers, Kingwood Gardens is like a little piece of heaven on Earth. We were here in late Spring (May) and there were multiple flowers in bloom, some had already passed, and many more were on the way. There is...More

Been visiting here for my whole life, and must admit I liked it so much better "back in the day" before they charged to get in and when you were able to drive through and when there were a gazillion tulips each spring, but it...More

Thanks for the wonderful review, Charity. You are correct - we charge $5.00 per car for admission. As a 501c(3) charitable organization, we rely on that support to keep Kingwood in tip-top shape!

Wow!!!! Beautiful, simply beautiful. So much to do here - the gardens, greenhouse, trails, the mansion of Charles King estate - a peaceful spot. This is a wonderful day trip and we had a very informative docent who led our tour. You will want to...More

This compact, 47-acre botanical garden is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Despite the periodic showers on a recent spring visit, we enjoyed strolling through the well-designed gardens and greenhouse and the handsome mansion of the former Charles King estate. The number of...More

We like to visit several times a year. My husband loves to take pictures here. We come in the spring to see bulbs in bloom and flowering trees. Summer is a great time for other flowers and bushes, along with iris and day lilies.
