    Lovely Lighthouse
The drive along Bayshore to the park and Lighthouse was a feast for the eyes with all the beautiful homes, views of Lake Erie, and people preparing to fish from the shore. The park and Lighthouse were very beautiful and offered terrific views of Lake Erie and some of the nearby islands. We arrived too late to go into the lighthouse or the keeper's cottage and gift shop, but will definitely return to this scenic and historic spot again. Wonderful to discover that the Lighthouse is still in use today and that two of its keepers were actually women! Highly recommended!

    Pretty but popular lighthouse
Good area for a picnic, pretty view. Lots of parking. There is a museum, but it wasn't open when I was there. Several restored buildings near the lighthouse. It might be hard to get a good picture since it is in a park and there are more than the usual number of people at a lighthouse.

Worth the trip and hour of your time
The lighthouse is the oldest on Lake Erie. Still in great shape. Have to climb 87 stairs but there are places to take a break and be out of the way if needed. Great view at the top. Museum/gift shop and old life saving station are also nice - nothing stupendous but supplement the experience. A rocky coast line makes for a good walk.

Great Way to Spend 1-2 hours
This was a last minute trip, and well worth the thirty minute drive from Sandusky. The grounds were well kept, the views were stunning, and there was so much information to take it! There were several volunteers on site there to help us learn more about the grounds and Coast Guard operations. The lighthouse itself is beautiful and a great experience for $3.

    Marblehead Lighthouse
Marblehead Lighthouse is located within Marblehead Lighthouse State Park along with the US Coast Guard historic keeper's house and lifesaving station and museum. The Marblehead Lighthouse is one of Lake Erie's best known and most-photographed landmarks. It is the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes. Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse during the summer season for spectacular views of the lake and its islands in the distance. We really enjoyed this clean, well maintained and safe park. The area also offers picnic areas and restrooms.

This was a very beautiful area! We enjoyed walking beside the water, touring the small museum about coast guard predecessors. While there were many people there, we didn't fell overwhelmed. There was a wedding taking place. We didn't crash their event.

The lighthouse was neat, but the land surrounding it was the most appealing part of this. So many neat rocks and trees to look at in the area around the lighthouse.
We even found a buoy stuck under one of the rocks.
