Kings Island has really cleaned itself up compared to just a few years ago. Cedar Fair has everything looking really clean and nice. The new Camp Snoopy is a lot of fun. We loved the new Soap Box roller coaster and the shades park playzone is so welcome and nice - compared to it being an old unused amphitheater before.

Kings Island’s commitment to park safety and clearing out unruly behavior is very noticeable and appreciated. Their new chaperone policy helps greatly. And there was a security presence in the park. The crowd and vibe at the park is MUCH better than it used to be.

We did notice a bit of understaffing. With several major rides closed and/or rides rotating being opened and closed. This is always a disappointment.

Lastly, dining in the park seems to have went downhill. Everything was pretty low quality. Two slices of bad pizza and breadsticks is $17. With so many on the all day dining plans the lines are long at restaurants especially around meal times. With tickets at $41 to $49, the park has definitely switched to a cheap entry - expensive food, games, drinks model. I recommend packing food and snacks and avoid games.

Overall though we had a great visit.

We came here for their Mardi Gras event, so we showed up at 4 pm having purchased the Mardi Gras bundle. It is a great deal. For $45 you get after 4 admission, parking, and $20 to spend in the park! We have been to almost all of the parks in Orlando as well as Cedar Point and found this one to be on par with Cedar Point. Obviously, the parade is not going to be like Universal's Mardi Gras parade, but they did a good job. We were a little bummed that they don't throw beads from the floats, but we asked an employee for beads later and they gave us a couple. All of the employees we encountered were nice and helpful. The bathrooms we went in were reasonably clean. A lot of people seemed surprised that they couldn't take loose items on intense coasters like Orion, but those rules are the same everywhere. We like the big coasters, so we wear belt bags when going to amusement parks. We were able to go on everything with those. The park was hard to navigate at first since it was unfamiliar to us. I think it would be great if they gave out paper maps again; I don't always want to be checking my phone to see if I'm going the right way, but, again, pretty much every park expects you to use the app instead of giving out maps nowadays. The employees I asked for directions from pointed me the right way. Do be aware that the park is completely cashless no matter how small the purchase. If you're there for Mardi Gras, the smoked duck fried rice in China is great but small, the cannoli in Italy is excellent, but we found the Black Forest trifle in Germany to be a bit dry. Each International food item seemed to be around $10. Stay for the fireworks and drone show at night; it's certainly not Disney, but it's well done and the Royal Fountain in the front of the park looks beautiful all lit up.

Kings Island is always an amazing time. There was an electrical issue on the big rides due to the storm the night before but they were as quick as possible to get it correct and be fully operating. The fireworks were absolutely amazing!
My only disappointment is that we go to LaRosa's for pizza every year but I was very very disappointed in the pricing. 5 pizza's last year were about $125, this year 2 pizza's were $94., that's excessive in my opinion.

2 star reasons: severe lack of enough and clean bathrooms, changing areas, drink stations, tables to eat, and SHADED AREAS AND CHAIRS in Soak City. Could be easily improved but it’s like they just don’t care to be in the tier of the best of the best? Whoever manages Soak City needs to be replaced and a panel of everyday mothers should be advising what you need to become amazing. I really don’t know how Soak City can get away with such a severe lack of facilities?Food is crazy overpriced through the park. The meal/drink plan is clearly worth it.
3 star reasons: moderate lack of adequate signage throught the parks and parking lot, food and ride lines aren’t terrible but there is definite need for improvement, obviously shortstaffed in all areas of the park, you need more areas to get ice cream
4 star reasons: warm water in Soak City, good prices on season passes, good security presence, the lights at night are gorgeous
5 star reasons: LaRosas’a at KI is the best LaRosa’s - it just hits different, amazing and a great variety of rides and coasters, the lights/landscaping/fountain vibe along Main Street, admission itself is fairly affordable especially with coupons or buying a pass, kids and teens of all ages love KI!

From Cincy and have probably been here 100 or more times. This could be a 4-5 star park, but it’s frustrating because the same complaints many parents have had for years go unaddressed.

We purchased our tickets ahead of time and we're shocked at the price! Approximately $87.00 for two people just to get in and that was without a cup and meal deal. We have never been to the winter fest so we thought it would a cool thing to go try. When we got to the parking lot we were shocked when we were told that we had two options, either $30 for far away parking or $40 for up close parking!! That is just insane. We chose the $30 because like most people we have to stick to a budget. So at this point we already spent around $107 and haven't even made it inside the park yet! The good part of all of this? The lights were beautiful! It was nice to see so many lights. The lights around the Eifel tower are mesmerizing. But then comes the part when you get hungry. We ended paying $42 for the two of us to each get two very small slices of cheese pizza and two small bread sticks and one large drink to share. We only bought an ornament for our new grandson after that because everything in there is so overpriced! I am writing all of this so anybody on the fence bout going to winter fest and might be on a tight budget. You may want to rethink it. If it wasn't so overpriced we would definitely go every year. But in our opinion, for the price, their are many other cheaper options out their!

I'm going to be honest I was skeptical going here being spoiled by the coasters at Cedar point, but their were some solid options for coasters. The wait time was significantly shorter than Cedar Point allowing us to ride our favorite coasters 3 times each. We got the food and beverage pass which was a great deal and kept us well hydrated. Overerall the experience was really great...

The park was so big we could have spent the whole day there! The coolest ride there was the Beast but my all time favorite| ride there was the Orion it has such a great view at the top and it has such a high drop at the top. We took as many pictures as we possibly could!

This was my first visit, my husband's second visit. We didn't have much of a wait for any ride, even the big coasters. Some of the rides don't have a storage box at the docking station, like Banshee or Flight of Fear, so you have to rent a locker, which was $3 for 2 hrs of storage. Food and drinks were overpriced like most theme parks; spent $5.33 for a bottle of water, including tax. We got there at opening and did most of the rides by the time we left at 4. No negative interactions with any staff, overall good visit, but I wish food and drinks were more reasonable.

I went again for Winterfest for New Years Eve and even though it was cold, rainy, and windy I still had a great time. The crowds were mostly minimal and my friend and I got to ride pretty much everything with a short wait, though the coasters were a little brutal with the cold rain at times, but we didn't care we had a blast. We rode the train, Mystic Timbers twice, Racer, both kids coasters, my friend rode Flight of Cheer, we saw the parade, he did the snow tubing, walked the whole park, rode the carousel, ate twice to check out the meatloaf sandwich and the turkey balls (thumbs up), rode the darkride, did other stuff and just had fun. Watched the midnight countdown and fireworks and got out of there in minutes, it was perfect. We had the best time, did it 2 years ago and had a great time then too. Would love to make this a yearly thing but I know its not going to hold out with the weather and it will be packed and miserable at some point but that's ok, it's fun. People this year were mostly ok, no major issues since we were all cold and wet. I had a good time, my friend had a blast and that's all that matters. Happy New Year.

This was our first time at Kings Island. We have been to many different amusement parks and I was very impressed by this park. We went on a Tuesday in July and did not have to wait long for any of the rides. We went on every roller coaster and the longest wait was 30min for the Orion. Our favorite ride was Mystic Timbers. I loved the music in the one section of the park that turned popular rock songs to "twangy country" songs -- that was very original.

We purchased the food bundle ticket which you can get food every 90 min. I wish drinks were included, but we bought two cups with free all day refills and one water bottle that could be refilled also.

I do wish they had signs around the park pointing out where different attractions are. The online app was difficult for me to navigate.

Never made it to the water park, or the fireworks. The day was very hot and we just got tired and went home early around 7.
