This square has absolutely nothing on it. It is like a wasteland. I was stunned when I saw the rainbow flag on it. Since it does not represent a country, state, city, or organization, I could not understand why it is there. I do not like when government makes political statements like this. Government should be neutral on these kinds... More

This is really the center of Oberlin - right where campus meets downtown - and it's very lovely. It was well kept and had a few nice fixtures to check out, or just a lot of space if you wanted to hang out in a park.

I had a picnic with my sister, her infant daughter and my two dogs. Perfect place, parking was easy & it was pretty. Some obnoxious young men yelled at me to "get back in the kitchen" from their car but that's a college town in the rural Midwest for you. Overall a good experience.

We went early and were able to get a good place to set up our chairs in a very good spot. There was no security there. There were two large millstones one on either side of the stage. An older lady decided to dance on top of one of these. Unfortunately several children saw haw she got up and when... More

This square in the center of town is a renowned arboretum of a couple of acres in the middle of uptown and college campus. A relaxing, historical, beautiful place of peace in a quaint setting.

The square has recovered beautifully from the loss of its stately elm trees to Dutch Elm disease a half-century ago. It is again a well-shaded expanse, now with an attractive mixture of a variety trees and shrubs. Early summer is an especially attractive season for a quiet walk or for finding a spot to sit and enjoy the greenery. The... More

Wonderful large trees to provide cool shade in the summer, which is when I have had the pleasure of enjoying the space. Plenty of room for everyone. Several wifi options available in the park, which makes it a great place to work, as well. WOuld be nice to have a few more benches, though. (A large park, rather than a... More

This is a beautiful part of Oberlin, with several benches available to rest on while reading, watching people, taking in the sunshine, or watching the squirrels. The flowers and trees are gorgeous. People are friendly, lots of little stores close by to shop in or just browse through.

Great place to make an earth connection and to people watch. Cross cut pathways lead in every directions. The ward borders on a retail street, the arts district (ok,that may be a bit of a stretch but . . .its' Oberlin) and historic buildings.
