Great Local Wine and Cool Geode Crystal Cave!

The wine is good, but would enjoy it better if it was served in wine glasses, not plastic Dixie cups. The price is really cheap. Each 5 oz glass is only $2.50. You can but a whole... read more

I can't say enough good things about Heineman's Winery. The wine is excellent and very reasonably priced (by the glass, bottle, or case). The winery will ship your cases to the Jet Express or the Miller Ferry docks. The Heineman's are a wonderful family who have long been an integral part of the Put in Bay experience. For goodness sake,... More

The wine is good, but would enjoy it better if it was served in wine glasses, not plastic Dixie cups. The price is really cheap. Each 5 oz glass is only $2.50. You can but a whole bottle for $11 - $13. Lot's of people come and enjoy hanging out and relaxing with a bottle of wine. We did the... More

My wife and I like visiting wineries and this one was like no other. The selection of wine was a good variety of their own grapes and blends from imported ones. We purchased a tour of the geode cave and it came with a free tasting. We both bought a bottle of wine. My Pink Catawba is delicious! We were... More

This place came highly rated. Not really sure why. The staff was very distant and seemed to be bothered by customers wanting wine. This is not wine tasting it is wine buying. The wine was ok but honestly nothing I couldn't have purchased at the local carry out much cheaper. Forget the food.

We ended up here because a friend recommended we see the Crystal Cave. The tour of it is combined with a tour of the winery and a glass of wine or grape juice. The actual tour of the winery was interesting but way too much time was spent standing on a concrete floor while listening to a description of the... More

A great place to have a glass of wine and the cheese plate. Has a wonderful outdoor seating section for a relaxing atmosphere. Glasses of wine are $2.50.

We enjoyed this winery much more than put in bay winery! It's a nice causal environment with great tasting wine.

If you're interested in making wine or love wine at that, this is the place to be. Very interesting process of wine making and there's also a variety.

The only thing worth seeing at this winery is the giant geode you get to walk down to. Other than that, the wine tastes like conchord grape jelly, too sweet, and is served in mini solo cups...where you're only seating is a dated room that looks like a mess hall at summer camp. Go for the geode, don't stay for... More
