We really enjoyed our visit. Jim, the attendant, was very nice and knowledgeable. It was a hot day and the upstairs was fairly warm. Also, if you can't do stairs you will only get to see part of it but the best part is downstairs so I would still recommend it.

The interior has the feeling of an underfunded museum ..not a historic home. Walls have been taken out making destroying the original proportions. The renovations and furnishings did not impress me at all.

Mother and I went to the RIPLEY village Christmas tour. The first stop and ticket purchase was this museum. It has been newly arranged and labeled. Each room was topic oriented i.e. Civil war n locals and other wars. Old dolls n toys room. To hear the history of RIPLEYs very own death carriage with original basket and their first... More

For those interested in history, this museum is a must visit. It contains a replica of an old fashion kitchen, items such as a gift given to a slave on her wedding day, doll collections, presidential letters and much more.
