If you want some fun for kids to like to dig and explore, this the place. There are trails to walk and piles of dirt to go through to seek the rare fossil. The piles of dirt are changed regularly and there are little stations where...More

I drove about two hours to take my 6 year old, who is crazy about dinosaurs, there. I forewarned him that there wouldn't be any chance of finding bones, just shell type fossils- didn't want to set unrealistic expectations. The park was clean & nice,...More

If you have a child obsessed with fossils, this might be a good stop but not a great deal to see. There is a nice bike path around the park that leads to another park as well.

Great place for walking on well maintained paved bike paths. Great views of a rock quarry that can be walked down into and hunt for fossils.

I took (1) 6yr old and (2) 3yr olds, the attention span was difficult to manage. I would set a minimum limit to 5yr old and better. Bring an old toothbrush and small basin to hold some water for cleaning items found. The visit will...More
