Art from all over the world and every time period is housed at this outstanding museum, considered one of the world's best. From paintings by Renoir to sculptures by Alexander Calder to a vast glass collection, you'll find wonderful treasures here. Founder and first president Edward Drummond Libbey wanted to build a place where art was accessible to everyone, hence the museum's free admission policy, which continues to this day. The Toledo Museum of Art is open:Tuesday & Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.Thursday & Friday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.Sunday: noon – 5 p.m.Closed Mondays, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

I loved the museum, and the best part is it's free. I'm not a big fan of the modern art, but that's just me. Nice little café for dining or just having a snack while taking a break.

Wanted to visit again, it's been awhile. Love old artifacts, paintings and pottery. It can get boring but it's still interesting. Can't see it all in one day to appreciate, at least I can't, need to take you time.

The food is unique and good. The service is sometimes slow as it appears they need more help. The atmosphere getting in the glassed area is lovely.

I wasn't even crazy about going to the museum but went along with some friends. First of all, free admission thanks to an ongoing grant from the Libby glass foundation. Jaw dropping pieces of art and sculpture, beautifully preserved and displayed. Not crowded at all.

Art is first class. Museum is very welcoming to all types of people. Activities are varied. Last Saturday's "Block Party" held inside and all around the museum was a great annual event.
