The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is housed in one of the most beautiful buildings in downtown Toledo. The architecture is splendind and inside the integrity of the original building blends well with the newer extension. Very friendly staff and, if you're planning on settling in...More

I would bet that there is a huge swath of people living in the Toledo area that have not visited our main library. Dang shame because this is a fantastic building. Both the new part and the existing building which was probably built in the...More

The Toledo public library and the Toledo Blade newspaper needs to be commended for their authors authors series. We heard Ron Chernow the author of Alexander Hamilton speak tonight. He did an outstanding job!

All branches of the TLCPL are worth visiting, and the main branch downtown offers a plethora of things to see and do. Kids activities, cooking classes, geneology research, local maps and history, and, oh, yeah, crack open a good book.

This place is huge. Filled with books and history. Our kids prefer this library over all of the others even the brand new ones. They get so excited when we go to this one. It is a magical place to them.

The older part of the Main library downtown is in art-deco style, although it was expended several years ago, and offers an outstanding collection of books. The library was able to locate in its collection some German books I've sought. Many of the seldom requested...More
