There are a lot of restaurants, but even more curio shops, antique stores, second hand stores to haunt. You can park your car and wander for hours if you enjoy such things. Many one-of-a-kind items are everywhere, and you will find things you didn't even know you needed! The restaurants are good, or they never would have stayed in business... More

Where to start? From the Cock of the Walk to Soup Soup there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Some really great shops line this part of OKC and one of my very favorite places...."Beck's Garage" on the corner of 42nd and Western. Jeff Beck and his staff are really "stand up guys" ( Sorry about that Theresa... More

There's nothing really unique or special here that I saw. It's just another shopping area in this spread out city. If you do venture here, don't rely solely on google maps. We went through the 'hood, and it was dark.

Always love "West" on Western! The other eateries in this area adjacent to Nichols Hills are all very good!

You could spend a whole day pleasantly just strolling up and down Western Avenue. There is a huge variety of businesses between NW 36th and NW 50th. Restaurants, bars, antiques, gifts, a candy store, spice shop, record store and various retail stores.

The city has put a lot of effort into the Western ave area in recent years. There are several restaurants, antique shops, coffee shops and pubs, all within walking distance to each other. I have lived in this area for decades and am very impressed with the positive changes in recent years. This area is home to many of the... More

Disclosure - this is my neighborhood, so the following represents years of visits. Western Ave is a great place to dine, shop and make merry. Great variety of restaurants from sandwiches to sushi to fried chicken. Boutique shopping for all of us who love to keep it local, like A Date With Iris for fresh, funky and fabulous floral arrangements... More

Hipsters and Yuppies Mix it Up in North Western Ave. This area begins at 36th Street and extends to Wilshire which is several miles north. A giant variety of foods and several watering holes to boot. Looking for a "meet market" this might be right for you. I have lots of favorites from one end to the other...you will too.

We live in the area, and love walking up to VZD's or, The Wedge for dinner, or the Lobby Bar for coffee on Saturday mornings, and then a little window shopping before head home. The area is very safe, and very walkable. We are so fortunate to live so close to this historic street!!!!
