The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public...

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City.

A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, the Park House restaurant, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory.

Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more.

Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call it home.

We love the bridge and the plants to see as we went through the garden. I relaxing and fun time as you admire the beautiful plants and other people in the garden.

This is a good place to take the family. The plants and flowers are beautiful. Very relaxing and stress reducing experience. Right outside there is a place to sit and there are water fountains for the kids to play in. The scenery is nice also. It is located in downtown Oklahoma City.

I wasn't that impressed by the gardens. I honestly thought there would be a bigger array of flowers that were both exotic and beautiful. It just looked like a giant rainforest. I'd say if you're visiting its worth a thirty to forty minutes of your time to visit but I wouldn't necessarily label it a must see.

The Myriad Botanical Gardens have an outstanding conservatory, the best we've we've ever visited and we've been in quite a few. (We were at the Gardens in December so the only part we visited was the conservatory.) The web site says "The centerpiece of the 15-acre Myriad Botanical Gardens is the Crystal Bridge Conservatory, home to thousands of beautifully displayed... More

Very pleasant, we came during the winter so it was not as nice as it could have been, but was still a nice visit. Check with your hotel for a coupon to visit the inside tropical area! Good for pictures!

What they've done to the downtown in OKC is remarkable. The Myriad Botanical Gardens just keep getting better and better. Go see this!

If you have a desire to visit a rain forest without traveling outside the US, this is the place. It is so well presented with such a huge variety of tropical plants, you'll have "Ahh" moments at every turn...and on every level. Do not miss this experience.

The outside grounds are lovely. Not much in winter, but in the spring and summer it would be beautiful. The indoor portion is small. After visiting places like Longwood in PA and the gardens in DC, this was a let down.

The brochure claims the combination of children's garden, band shell, restaurants, ice rink, and a few more places is "a combination found in no other city center in the United States". I don't know that for sure, but I'm sure that I want this in my town and would use it constantly if I lived in OKC. Even in the... More
