Our family planned to stop in here for an hour, but there was so much to learn, and the tour guide was excellent, so we ended up staying for 3 hours. The guide made history come alive for all of us. There was more history than just military. We learned new facts about the civilized and educated Native American tribes... More

It isn't the fanciest museum with electronic displays and bells or whistles, but it holds unlimited treasures that offer such insight into the challenges of military service. This ought to be remodeled into one of the finest museums in the nation!

What a great place to visit... I was amazed by the great collection of military equipment from the revolution to current day. A great collection of weapons, uniforms, aircraft, tanks and military vehicles! A complete room of Bill Mauldin drawings was fascinating. Especially interesting were artifacts belonging to Adolf Hitler which you would not expect to be here. A great... More

We just went here to pass some time while we were waiting for family to arrive. We were pleasantly surprised at how interesting the museum is. The planes, tanks and trucks outside are very interesting. There is an amazing amount of items displayed inside what appears to be a small building. My husband is a veteran and loved this place.... Great place to go to see the military machinery used in our history. Pictures in a book, video clips or on the big screen are one thing but to be up close to these machines are a whole new level to experience. Any history buff or anyone wanting to let your kids see what you used or worked on while... More

The 45th infantry fought in some of the most intense battles of WW1 and WW2. You will learn a lot about these men here, and you also get to see a lot of old military vehicles up close. The staff are friendly and will readily answer questions. Stop in and learn a little. Im a military buff and I learned... More

My 8, 10, & 12 y/o grandkids loved this museum. You can get a tour from a vet if you want. We chose not to as their attention spans can be short. They have Hitler's dress winter coat, along with some items from his bunker. History of armament from the earliest days of our country. Outside, there are helicopters, tanks,... More

We had driven by the museum several times and decided to stop in and visit. They have a large collection of vehicles outside which are visible from the road, but I was surprised by how large the collection was inside. Well worth an afternoon visit.

What a well laid out museum. It even had a good assortment of Hitler items, weapons of all kinds, and of course Bill Mauldin cartoons. What a treat. Wear comfy shoes and just enjoy.

At first, this museum seems crowded and maybe difficult to decipher, but just follow the chronology of the 45th Infantry. Also, talk to the people who work there. They know a lot, and if you're looking for pictures of a relative who was in the unit in the first landings during WWII, you'll be rewarded by asking for help! In... More
