I went to both the '91 & '93 festivals & bragged to my wife about how good is WAS! I was told that the same weekend there were multiple Pow Wows in nearby states!! That was not the case before , why the lack of...More

The Red Earth Festival is a great place to see and learn about the artistic, musical and historical aspects of Oklahoma's Native American citizens. As much as I love the REF, in recent years it has lost some of its flair and impact. The first...More

Yes the Indians are on the war path...uh make that art path and display some truly outstand works. Oklahoma's are proud of this event and it is a chance to visit with Tribal folks from Oklahoma and across the country. Traditional and Powwow dancing is...More

I loved the music, the dancers, and the costumes. I am disappointed that it has become so small. Perhaps new blood at the leadership, but it is a wonderful event.

How awful it has been watching Eric Oesch and the Red Earth "commitee" kill off this event slowly each year. Red Earth was once an amazing weekend that everyone could not miss, but this year it is a mere art show with a watered down...More

Please stay for the parade and the festival. The artwork is amazing and the dancers are outstand.... always great food to try. Have fun and enjoy the colors, sounds and heritage of the Native people from all over the US.

This festival is held annually in Oklahoma City. Dancers, musicians, singers, and other artists from around North America converge on OKC for a two day festival full of parades, grand entrances, music, dancing, and American Indian vendors. I thoroughly enjoy sitting in the stands and...More

Disappointed with how the phone companies and salesmen and junk samples crowd out the Native Americans. Yes the promoters of the festival probably make more money off the big commercial displays and Chinese made crap for sale, but people go to see Native America. We've...More
