We made a quick sop to see the State Capitol during our Route 66 trip. There is parking, but it is a ways back from the building. We did mot go inside.

Ask the visitor-desk for a map, it helps you a lot. Start on the fifth floor and walk (or take the elevator) down. Don't forget the office of the governor and the lieutenant-givernor.

This building is absolutely breathtaking. You have to see in person. You also need to see it in the evening. We went just before sunset, so beautiful.

There is parking to the south of the capitol and to the east. From the east side there is a tunnel you can us.

The guided tour lasted about an hour. We were there about two hours, total.
