Walk by the river

The parks trails continue to improve. If you are passing through and need to stretch, pull up to a parking place and take a walk along the paved trails. Very relaxing.

We live within walking distance of Riverparks - use it almost daily. Really enjoy the improvements - I feel the separated lanes for walking, jogging, bike-riding are much safer. Always enjoyed the 31st Street Bridge; we love to see the birds and occasional mammals along the way. One afeternoon, we were riding our bikes and came across a small group... More

This system of paved trails is extensive. Over 75 miles of trails cover much of Tulsa. The primary system runs along the Arkansas River. In addition, the system includes an urban wilderness area called Turkey Mountain. Amazing area. Further, Tulsa is investing another $300 million to upgrade this park system for the future.

River Parks has spent many years upgrading the bike paths from dirt to nice divided paths running over 7 miles along the picturesque Arkansas River. These improvements have added to the safe feeling of being at the River with all the different people who use the public park.

We live in town where we like to ride our bikes but the trails here are just so nice. There is well over 15 miles of trails for both riding and walking. They are separated so the walkers do not have to worry about bike riders. It is along the river and very flat so it is very pleasant .... More

Stroll along the river and enjoy the scenery. Tulsa is not a big city by any definition but it sure does offer a visitor a wide range of things to do. This scenic walk is just one.

We were in town overnight and brought our bicycles so we could try the river park path. Very impressed with the marked paths, river view and the park overall. Nice playgrounds, landscaping and scenic stops along the way. Only negative was the restaurant and bar area we rode past. The patrons stood too close to the trail or walked across... More

This is an easy and pleasant walk (I especially liked the footbridge) but I went alone and there were a few sketchy people on the route, one who was drinking and some guys swimming and being obnoxious. It was a hot day so there were not a lot of people were out walking. Had there been more people around I... More

We ate at one of the restaurants, but did not stay long. I could tell that it is probably real busy in the evening. Pretty locale.
