Went to the air and space museum to spend a little time before my flight left. Went on a Monday morning and there was only a handful of students from a local university there. Enjoyed looking at the history of Tulsa and the involvement in the airline industry and world war II. Saw the planetarium show and nobody was there... More

I was surprised by how much I like this. It was a big hit with the teenage nephews and the planetarium was cool, too.

In addition to the planetarium there are special events going on all the time. It is recommended that you check the website ahead of time for these events. It is also important to check to see if their are any educational tours scheduled; this will help you avoid competing with elementary students. We especially enjoyed the Early American Colonial Sky... More

This small museum at Tulsa Int'l Airport has a great collection of aircraft & spacecraft. There is also a lot of history on aviation during WWII along with some background history on significant contributions to aviation in Tulsa over the years. There is a children's area & library upstairs. One volunteer spent some time showing me some of the interactive... More

Even though it's a bit small, it contains a lot of items and history of the Tulsa are dealing with air. Docents are around to help you. You get to get in some of the planes and there is a place for the kids to have fun in

very nice museum it is not big and seems to be kind of pricey...we went from a groupon that was available. up stairs is an area for smaller kids which is nice and the being able to sit on a real plane and watch plane history was nice..it is worth a visit.

Had a day to kill and was directed to this museum. Nice escape from the blistering heat/sun with the typical air museum exhibits. Respectable nod to women's contribution to air travel. The surprise addition was a chance encounter with a volunteer who was a former Tuskegee Airman! Wow! What a true honor to meet him. A wealth of knowledge and... More
